A couple of times passing through the metro station I made a quick stop to have a special of cold ice tea and sandwich or a scone. Prices are cheap and they are conveniently located for a quick bite until you can get a proper...More

Popped in here after our climb to Castello S. Jorge and needed something to revive us. Good coffee and good Portuguese custard tarts. Nothing fancy and very reasonable prices. Sometimes that is just what you need.

A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site,
Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply
"Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake

earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its
name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in
Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the

Description
Charming Cafe on the middle of Lisbon downtown (Baixa). Feel the pulse of Portuguese day-to-day life. Taste a selection of traditional Portuguese Pastries. Come for lunch and have soups, hot sandwiches with Alentejo's bread and other bites. Or a coffee (best in Baixa!) with Pastel de Nata, Queijada or Torta da Azeitao (ask the owner;)). Ideal to rest or to recharge "batteries". Take-away service!
