So this is probably the first time ever I gave a 5 rating. This is the best place in Lisbon we ate so far. The price quality is simply amazing. It is a real authentic Portuguese cuisine with very very friendly personnel. 8,50 for a 3 course meal, wine and coffee. How about that! I ate al la carte however... More

We went specifically for the prawn rice and were not disappointed. A large serving for two with plenty of toothsome prawns left no room for anything else save for the very respectable bottle of Duro White. I cannot understand the presence of a few bits of surimi alongside the prawns, in endangers a good dish while offering no enhancement. Pleasant,... More

I can't really talk about the food, as we waited for about 50 minutes for our fish, before finally going back to the great Indian restaurant right around the corner. Also, it didn't seem as if the restaurant was extremely full at the time. We asked twice, after about 30 and 45 minutes only to be told to wait for... More

The restaurant serves mainly Portuguese dishes. Service was very friendly and the food we ordered was actually very tasty. Prices are reasonable as well. It is located slightly off the main tourist routes so the atmosphere is relaxing and pretty quiet. Liked it a lot. Would go back.

The restaurant is very simple, but the do they serve is great. The television might be a bit disturbing, but we recommend the food. Great value for money.

We took the lunch at this restaurant. The meal was very good and delicious at a resonable price. The meal included soup, the main dish, drinks, desert and coffee. There are two type of menu with or without desert. At noon there were a lot of people, most of them portuguese.

We had the lamb and it was absolutely delicious, the buttered bread soaked in the lamb juices was amazing. The house wine was a great addition to the meal and it really opened up the lamb flavor.

Excelent for lunch , get the menu do dia, it's usually a selection for either meat at least two types and of fish at least two types, drink and soup included. You have to pay extra 1.5 euro for dessert. Only locals were easting there when we stopped by! Very fast service! Great value!

Staying in Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores

Neighbourhood Profile
Baixa, Rossio & Restauradores
A pending candidate to become a World Heritage Site, Lisbon's downtown (the "Baixa Pombalina", or simply "Baixa") is a perfect example of anti-earthquake construction, having been rebuilt following the 1755 earthquake by the famous Marquês de Pombal (hence its name). Its offer is vast: restaurants and cafes in Rossio and Restauradores, outlets and shops in the Áurea, Augusta, Prata and other famous streets, the imponent Praça do Comércio and its Arch, the luxury shops along the Avenida da Liberdade, this is the beating heart of the city center. The Baixa also grants easy access to trains leading to Sintra, the trams that go around the Castle hill, old neighborhoods or even take you to Belém, and Lisbon's traditional restaurants and cafes. Considering a visit to the Fashion and Design Museum (free entrance) and don't forget to try the famous liquor, "ginjinha"!
