Nice combination of Japanese food with local Açores special fish. Do not forget to try Lula sashimi.

We were totally impressed by the excellent quality of this restaurant discreetly located on a steep street in old Lisbon. The presentation was like a masterpiece of fish art and the taste was divine. We hadn't had thid kind of quality since the last sushi and sashimi we ate in Japan. Temperature was perfect, cut and size as well. Amazing.... More

Kampai is a traditional Japanese restaurant inspired on the fresh fish from Açores. The kitchen is under the command of Chef João Soeiro, who does an impeccable job! We had the sushi platter and loved it. We recommend booking in advance :)

Me and my parents went to this restaurant on a Saturday night and got a table even without having made a reservation! Lucky! We bet more on the entrées and asked for a combination of sushi afterwards. Everything was very nicely cooked and had an exquisite taste! The fish was really fresh and delicious. The staff was nice and attentive.... More

I found this place on Tripadvisor after having landed in Lisbon. Location wise, this restaurant is easy to locate and get to. This is a restaurant fully run by non-Japanese sushi master chef and staff. Despite reading some of the mixed reviews, my experience with what I've ordered have been pretty positive and here's my opinion. My meal began with... More

If you'd like to go beyond the cheap salmon makis and california rolls, which can now be purchased just about anywhere in Lisbon, do give this restaurant a try. Although everything is high-quality, here are some tips: the warm eggplant is a delight (really, its flavour bursts into your taste buds and you'll be left wanting more), the Gyosas are... More

For true fish lovers! If you're looking for "that" place and you've the luck to be in Lisbon.. well.. Kampai is The Place. Environment is related with Azores Island, where almost all the fish is coming from. Since 1 image can worth more than 1000 words.. see the ones i've uploaded. Cheers!

Sushi and sashimi of outstanding quality. Excellent food presentation. A delight not only for the palate but for the eye as well. Somewhat expensive, however, given the quality of food served, I left super satisfied. Great service.
