Really good food

Friendly service - excellent idea to have the 'buzzer' when you the waiter's attention. Lovely food - we chose the tuna and the cod as our main meal. Mmm!More

Favourite restaurant in Lisbon!!!

I’ve been to Frade a few times and it never disappoints. I thought it would be strange to go back now during the pandemic, but the staff and health and safety measures made me feel comfortable and safe. Staff were friendly as always, specially Vanessa...who was super attentive and made us feel comfortable. The staff were all wearing masks and there were only a small number of tables in order to keep social distancing. The new menu is delicious. I loved the octopus croquetas, the tuna and the dessert caramel mousse with coffee was heaven. I’d been looking forward to eating our again since the lockdown started and I’m really happy that Frades has reopened! Going back soon!!More

Superb food and service

Two very helpful waitresses, Vanessa and the lovely Caterina from Mozambique, guided us through the menu and wines. I was even gently persuaded to try a small portion of the Octopus salad which we believe is a specialty dish at the restaurant, and it was...delicious. Fish of the highest quality and freshness with interesting and tasty accompaniments. Two course meal, wine, water and coffees approx €80 for the two of us. Will definitely return on our next visit to Lisbon.More

Amazing Service and People

The atmosphere was friendly, the staff went above and beyond, with Cathy being the standout. We were constantly attended, never had to wait, told about what to order and treated to some of the best food we have had in our stay in Lisbon.More

Amazing place!

Went with my girlfriend for dinner and we both were amazed by the high level of service and patience from the staff. This is on top of the finger-licking food. We went for the duck and oxtail, and it was amazing! The desserts are also...over the top. 10/10 restaurant, would definitely recommend to anyone.More

Excellent lunch at super value for money

I went with my wife for a lunch to Frade dos Mares, which probably due to Corona only had another table occupied. After very good olives, bread and butter we had the fish of the day with vegetables and potatos, which were fantastic. The tasty...desert with coffee completed a very good lunch. Now we have been at Frade dos Mares for several times over a longer period of time and I must say this is the most consistent restaurant that I know. If would actually be very sad if this place wouldn't survive the government inflicted Corona crisis.More

I highly recommend it!

Wonderful food & service for a fair price. We had the octopus and it was really good! The chocolate mousse is also a must-try :)

Great Portuguese cuisine restaurant

We enjoyed our excellent meal at this well run restaurant. The food was really delicious and the staff friendly and professional. Tables were well spaced for the current restrictions and the comprehensive Covid prevention measures made us feel at ease.

Just fabulous

We searched for a restaurant serving octopus and found Frade Dos Mares so we went, no booking just tried our luck. We were found a lovely cosy table and ordered the mussels gratin and the Octopus "à Lagareiro", asking the waiter for wine suggestions he...brought 3 to the table with good explanations of each, he also did not choose the most expensive but his first choice was superb and complimented the food incredibly well. The overall service was excellent and incredible value for money. The menu is well thought out and not just octopus. Very very happy with Frade Dos MaresMore

The menu is okay. It is a fish specialized restaurant We did not see any kids though. Didn't look like a "child-friendly" place. You should call the restaurant and ask. Enjoy Lisboa anyway!
