We were recommended this Tasca by a young professional local resident. We did not expect great ambience as we went early; but the place was quite cold, food indifferent, wine surprisingly poor for Lisbon. Did not enjoy much.

Nice decor. The food was ok (the octopus fillet was pretty good). Would advise on sharing several little dishes if you go on a little group. Service was a bit slow. Prices are fine but, if on a budget, do not be too adventurous on the wine you pick.

But overpriced for what it was really. I had cod and spinach with some breadcrumbs and partner had some tapas (everything was in pastry). Waitresses were lovely. We had to ask for butter with our bread or it would have just been plain dry bread - got charged for butter as well!?

We visited for the fixed lunch when the restaurant was almost empty, so I can't say much to agree or disagree with the comments on price and ambience that others have experienced in the evening. What we found was a really good value lunch that you will struggle to beat for the price if you order well. The prix fixe... More

Found this place by chance, small street, not too crowded, nice appearence to the street. Our table was located on the covered and almost closed terrace where people had the luberty to smoke during meal. What a shame. Gentle service. Bread with cheese and olives to start with, for 11.50€. This is as unacceptable than the 4€ for a bottle... More

The food was good, the staff was helpful and the service quite fast. The place is also nice and so is the location. That being said, it is expensive for what you get. You can get the same quality a lot cheaper in Lisbon. Had the price been fairer Tasca Urso would have been a clear 4 for me

Booked a dinner for my wife's Birthday dinner through FB messenger and got a reply from the restaurant with the confirmation. We showed up and they had no record on their books of our reservation. Only when we showed the message they believed. That is already a 3 star rating for me. What made it 2 star was the smell... More

Very low value for the quality, high cover charge. Staff was polite yet overwhelmed with workload. Food was only ok.

We ate at Tasca Urso by chance, because we were staying just around the corner, and we couldn't have stumbled upon a better place! The décor inside was quirky, fun and cosy, and the food was outstanding. Meat-eaters won't regret ordering the homemade burger, complete with a choice of sauce; it was probably the best I've ever had! The service... More

Typical Portuguese restaurant with a few very good dishes. If you are adverse to smelling cigarette smoke while eating, perhaps this place isn't for you. Understand that smoking is a bit more tolerated in Portugal and the smoking section of the restaurant was in very close proximity to the non-smoking area. Anyway, the food was very good and when in... More

Neighbourhood Profile
Principe Real
From the splendid garden and its cafe-kiosk to its restaurants, Príncipe Real is more than worthy of a visit and it won't let you down: its attractions include "Pavilhão Chinês" (one of the more eccentric interior designs you'll ever see), museums and a fantastic botanical garden. It's also a commercial neighborhood, and you can visit a renovated Palace, home of the Embaixada (embassy) trendy shopping center with its cafes, art galleries and luxury shops... and even if you don't buy anything, take a look inside just for its marvellous interiors. On top of this, Príncipe Real offers a variety of places to eat: if you're in a hurry, drop by "Pizza a Pezzi"; and if you're not, taste the delicious Honorato hamburgers, Argentinian cuisine at La Paparrucha and also great, delicious Portuguese food at Tascardoso!
