Small intimate restaurant. Fabulous food - tuna teriyaki, meat turn and pork cheeks. Excellent friendly, efficient service. Really liked the idea of tasting the 3 wines, before choosing (or knowing their price 😉)

Before we decided to go into the restaurant, I had been sceptical because it looked quite small and not many people already sat there. But it was really worth it. The waitress, who had an impresssive deep voice, was super friendly and gave us a...small glass of port wine at the beginning for free. The interior is really cosy and the food is phenomenal, not cheap (12 - 25 Euro) but the best I have eaten for a long time!More

It is really the best place in Lisbon. I came here with my friends in January and fell in love with this restaurant so I came back with my husband and it was still perfect. Antonio is so kind and available. You will discover a...food you will never forget. I really recommend you to come to this restaurant if you are in Lisbon, you will not regret it.More

Definitely can't complain about the food. The octopus was amazing. And yes, food really tends to be special in these kinds of small joints (don't expect a wow! setting or whatever). It's a tiny place, very basic in furnishings and design, but that was no...problem for us. However, we must have waited for 2 hours for the dish. It seemed to be something like a 3-men-operation, with only one server that you rarely got to see even though there were 10 tables at most. So all in all, great food, but just don't go there of you're really hungy. We were and it wasn't particularly fun. Also, we couldn't pay by card, but this seems to happen pretty often in LisbonMore

I have never agonised so much over a review. We REALLY wanted to have a great experience at this restaurant (our last evening in the city) but sadly it was not to be. Most readers will not want to read a list of gripes so...the summary first - fish is very good, prices are reasonable (for these two reasons I have not given a one-star review) but on the evening we went, everything else was poor. If you want the gory details read on.. We booked a table on the terrace (pavement) in advance. When we arrived it seemed our table had already been given to a party of loud, drunk diners, so we (4 of us) were shown to a pair of bare, small circular aluminium tables (you know the sort) perilously close to the road. Undaunted and wanting to believe this was just a 'blip' we asked - when we could get the attention of the single person (sweating profusely and not wearing a mask) handling ALL of the service duties - for a gin and tonic but the restaurant apparently only serves wine, beer and soft-drinks/water. Fair enough, we were prepared to adapt. The white wine came (it was OK) but on a warm evening, not placing the bottle in some sort of cooler (or offering to refrigerate it) seemed slack. We persevered and tried to remain positive. Not being fish eaters, our sons ordered the steak rare. When it (eventually) arrived it was at best medium to well done, so it was tough and flavourless. This was after a starter had failed to arrive at all. As service was so slow, the disappointing experience was drawn-out to the point my normally patient son said "Can we please just leave?". Finally, the bill arrived at which point we were told they did not accept credit cards (OK perhaps I should have checked). Any of these problems on their own would not have significantly detracted from the experience I was hoping for (based on other reviews) but in combination they left a very sour taste. Perhaps we were just unlucky.More
