We had a memorable meal in this restaurant, a taxi ride from central Lisbon in the western suburb of Belem. We came for some fresh and expertly prepared shell fish, and we found it! Our servers took us to the lobster tank, where we chose two lobsters. We then added four kinds of fresh shrimp and were treated to goose... More

Three or four blocks away from Jeronimos, there's this great fish and shellfish restaurant where everything is well prepared and presented.

If you want seafood, there are some great options outside of Lisbon (cascais, ericeira, azenhas do Mar). But if you're in Lisbon and you want to try our amazing seafood, Nunes is the place. Try the casco de sapateira and the percebes. So delicious!

This is a restaurant that was recommended by a local friend which was packed with lisboetas. They offer a good service, big portions and high quality food. We had local cheese and arroz do marisco, and after coming to Portugal for at least 30 times, this is the best seafood rice I've ever had. I know that it's not a... More

Located in Belém, the cultural center of Lisbon, this seafood restaurant is frequented mostly by locals who work nearby. The dishes are well prepared, and usually one serves two people. A portion of camarao tigre, or king shrimp, is a wonderful first course that can be complemented by the catch of the day or a pork sandwich.

If budget is not a problem this is an outstanding fish and seafood restaurant in the Belem area close to the Jeronimos Monastery. Very good wine list as well. Fresh, wild fish is very well cooked. Simple but delicious. Staff is very professional. As the price of the fish is per kilo that will always try to sell you a... More

Awesome seafood though very pricy! You really have to watch out for what you order. Waiters and decoration are more of the same, not too nice but not bad... I recommend if you are in the neighborhood and really want seafood

I loved this place. It's not cheap, but if you want to treat yourselves to a special lunch this restaurant is perfect. The waiting staff are extremely professional. The seafood menu is incredibly varied and interesting. We went for a Sunday lunch and it was packed with locals which is always a good sign. They serve you lots of 'extras'... More

Have some ham and toast sir. A nice menu especially for the seafood lover. Not the cheapest, service good and waiters very attentive. Nice wines. Beer served in metal cups and 2 thirds was froth and then an expensive bill including 15 euros for the ham

Thank Kevanya

Staying in Belem

Neighbourhood Profile
Belém is the "capital of the Portuguese Discoveries" and a photographer's paradise. You can spend an entire day exploring this neighborhood: monuments (Jerónimos Monastery, Belém Tower, Monument to the Discoveries), museums (Coach Museum, Centro Cultural de Belém) and breathtaking views of the Tagus river will make your visit worth your time. Belém also offers a variety of restaurants and cafes, namely the famous - and delicious - "Pastéis de Belém" (typical Portuguese custard tarts; make sure you buy an extra box of those!). Easily accessible from Lisbon's historic center, Belém is a must-do, especially if you're spending more than one day visiting the Portuguese capital.
