We actually wanted to eat at a restaurant across from this place. They were booked for the evening and the Hostess ushered us over to Louro and Sal saying the food was from the same kitchen and was excellent. We took her word for it and that was a BIG mistake. Terrible service, bland food, and to top it off... More

Founding this nice small location in Barrio Alto and were really impressed by the very attentive and friendly staff. Even they did not spoke that much English, they gave their best. The interior is classy. After some very nice bread with spread we got the starter (aspargus with ham and crocante alheira (alheira is some very special Portuguese sausage)) which... More

We were just walking through this district looking for somewhere to book for dinner that night. The friendliness of the staff hooked us in (as well as the ratings) and when we arrived later we were well looked after. The ambience is great with good lighting an music and for c.€40 each with drink the price was very reasonable for... More

The setting is exquisite! The salmon I ordered was prepared and presented wonderfully and the service by both, the waiter and the proprietor , was attentive and welcoming. The desert, sorbet floating in Champagne, was magnificent. When we closed the meal the owner recommended her best Port and then surprised us with samples of her 5 and 10 year Ports--for... More

Often we research restaurants well in advance but sometimes we just stroll the streets. The results can be mixed but this time we found a real gem. The food was way above your average tourist fare, the ambience was pleasant and the staff were attentive and friendly. A great place for an evening with someone special.

My partner and I love coming here every month, we have had everything on the menu. Not only do we feel welcome but the staff always remembers what we had and what wine we accompanied with our meal. The atmosphere is very romantic and cosy, perfect for first dates and romantic dinners. I strongly recommend to eat as a main... More

We found this restaurant purely by chance and we are so glad we did. The staff were warm and friendly, very attentive from start to finish. The food was excellent and quite inventive with wonderful flavours. We tried a typical white wine from the region which was superb and reasonably priced. The atmosphere was cosy and romantic, but also laid... More

We had left it late, very late and was desperately trying to find somewhere to eat. Looking from the outside we could see people queuing, always a good sign! Fortunately they accepted us and was well worth the wait. What was turning out to be a disappointing evening proved to be a success. A hidden gem and well worth a... More
