Had tea here in October. No reservations allowed, so we got there promptly, and the restaurant filled up very quickly with locals and tourists. Stunning simple and delicious food, well priced, and good wines to accompany it. Sea food is very fresh. Excellent desserts too.

An excellent evening. From the outside the O Carloto looks like a small restaurant. Once you walk inside you're greeted by friendly staff and the smell of great food. We had traditional Portuguese food and it was fantastic. The atmosphere was quite loud, relaxed and...happy, people enjoying their evening's. Excellent service and value for money.
