We went to A Rampa for the piri piri chicken and it really was fantastic! We started with Couvert which was lovely - bread, butter, sardine pate and local cheese. The piri piri chicken came out on a platter along with a platter of home cut chips and a lovely salad. The chicken was tasty and spicy without being too... More

Great service, food and prices. We ate at this restaurant 5 night in the week we stayed, we had a different meal each time, everything was cooked perfectly. Thank you so much for the wonderful food, wine and atmosphere.

Lucky again. This is how it should be. A spectacularly beautiful setting for a relaxed simple restaurant. Very friendly and honest people. Returned 24 hours after first visit to find that they are both found and kept some papers I had lost Good cheese omelette and excellent Piri Pirichicken Half a bottle of Planalto for the passenger five euros.

There is a lot of depth to the flavor of this Piri-piri seasoning, a lot of umami, some heat at the back of the throats without being overpowering and best of all no unpleasant after-taste even hours after eating. I just don't want to eat anything else for the rest of the night to keep this pleasant & satisfying sensation.... More

Been to this roadside resturant for the last 30years, for their chicken piri piri cannot be beaten, you can keep your posh restaurants stick with the old rustic local service.

Just visited again and it still serves the best chicken piri piri on the Algarve. It also has stunning views down to the coast. well worth a visit.

In town for just over a week, we came again and again to A Rampa for lunch when the days were clear and the view across the valley below was simply spectacular. Chicken Piri Piri was, just as we heard, the best in all the Algarve. Friendly, helpful staff and reasonable prices.

The omnipresent incendiary piri-piri sauce is tamed beautifully here. Follow Nike's admonition: just do it. The meal can be preceded by hearty bread spread with offerings of butter, a creamy cheese or the very popular sardine paté. If you like sardines...well, there's always butter. The star here is the chicken, which comes with a generous portion of crispy, crunchy fries... More

Chicken Piri piri, as good as ever. Excellent local food with Fantastic staff always very helpful. If you want posh and spend loads of money do not come here. Best to arrive early for outside eating and magic views.
