RED LION, Albufeira

Am so sad that we only started coming here a few weeks before they close! Had 2 sunday roasts which were probably the best quality we've had in the area. And going for a third on Sunday. The food is top quality. The hosting fab....Today had fish and chips which were divine. Hope that the owners let us know when they take over somewhere else. Wherever it is will be so lucky to have them!More

See new location at top of The Strip. Amazing roast

The location on here is wrong and is now above The Strip so double check. Eventually turned up after pre booking and greeted by a very happy and friendly chap. The roast was absolutely fantastic. Now I’m a roast dinner lover being from Yorkshire and...can be critical but this dinner was just how your grandma made them. Everything home made, Yorkshire puds, gravy, potatoes veg. Not just peas and carrots but cabbage mash roast potatoes the works. 10/10 The sad thing is we was late in the holiday visiting this place and I had a roast the week before else where but not as good as this. Was told due to Covid and the trade he may be having to close in October and I’m gutted for them as the food really is the best. So give this place a whirl. Normally I take photos and stupidly forgot cause I guess once was in front of me I had to dive in. Good luck and hope trade picks up.More

Delicious Sunday Dinner

Just go and have Sunday dinner, it’s so good. Top it off with home made pud too. Don’t follow google maps as they have moved. Head to Jupiter Hotel and the red lion is in square on right. Really friendly. Enjoy

Absolutely amazing food great staff so friendly and welcoming would highly recommend! Came here everyday on our holiday and always got welcomed with a smile and friendly approach facilities where spot on And always had a good laugh here

Great Fish and Chips and lovely staff

We went last Sunday to get a fish and chips takeaway, even though they were busy cooking lots of Sunday lunches, they made us fish and chips while we had a drink, they were great fish and chips and we will be going back for...one of their Sunday lunches as they looked and smelt fabulous and all plates went back empty.More

Just had a super Sunday lunch

Just had a super Sunday lunch at this restaurant. The vegetables were just right and the flavour of the meat and gravy was delicious. We had super-size homemade puddings to finish. Friendly and welcoming atmosphere. Will definitely return.

Cracking pub, great staff

The Red lion pub is a great place to enjoy home made food and a great pint. Looked after my wife who has an intolerance to wheat,gluten and dairy. Very friendly hosts who can't do enough for you and have regular visitors who are now...friends which says it all. Will even give you a special shot if you can handle them. Will look forward to our next visit, whenever that will be after the coronavirus.More

Great little Bar

Set away from the main hub of action this is a great little bar, well run, great food, nice friendly and welcoming staff. If you're nearby, find it and get yourself a good drink and hearty meal in nice company and surroundings
