The rabbit and the mushrooms to star were great. We then asked bochechas and they were a bit salty but the the wine helped a lot. Great lunch to justify that it is difficult to get bad food in Alentejo

We had a delicious baked lamb dinner and baked cod meal. The regional cheese, olives and salad were delightful. Service was also good. It's old worldly and full of locals. It is a small place with a very welcoming feeling.

This was not our first choice for dinner, but all the other places were full, so our hotel concierge recommended this spot. A good surprise. Great food, family style cooking, and great service. The menu has information about each dish, so you know if its a typical dish from which region.

Our hotel encouraged us to go to this restaurant saying everything was very fresh and locally sourced. Our meal was ok, nothing very good, nothing bad, just really average. Prices were quite high. We've paid less for much better food all over the area. Really disappointed.

We ended up here because every Portuguese told us that we have to eat at least once in our life Migas and this is the place to eat it, prepared by the grandmother. Right...we did it and i must admit we didn't like it. Too greasy and heavy for our taste but then again, this is not fair to say.... More

A small, family run place, with excellent renditions of the local classics. The pork with clams is the best I have ever had!

This is a local restaurant with slightly over 20 seats with authentic local food. Service is good, food tasty and wines great.

Very good typical and regional cuisine. Very good starters, Main dish was good and dessert also really good. Portuguese made "sangria" was just superb, FANTASTIC, Overall, it continues to be a must, to eat and drink!

The food really was excellent and priced to match. The room is small yet comfy but the Maitre D was strangely offhand in his manner. Worth a visit.

Luar de Janeiro was recommended to us by our hotel since we asked for a place to eat very traditional food from the region. We had dinner there yesterday and I can confidently say that Luar de Janeiro did fully deliver on this expectation. We had the tapas (not sure if this is the right name -- the food that... More
