We ordered soup and quiche. Both very good. Quiche stuffed with spinach and tuna as well as chicken, ham, and cheese. The soup was vegetable made in a typical Alentejo style. The bill was $10.50. Lots of food for a great price!

We stopped here twice the same day for a snack and a drink. The service was fast and pleasant. We had the chicken pie which was few good and had a nice flakey crust. The traditional Portuguese tarts are also excellent.

The dish of the day for one person ("meia dose") costs 7 euros. I got pork steaks ("secretos") with rice (it didn't come at first, but the waitress offered it to me, free of charge), salad and fries. Nice service and simple food. It should be cheaper, but still a good choice

Went there for a late lunch, waiter spoke English. We were recommended dog fish soup and beef stew but both ran out. So ordered a fish potatoes mash thing, a bean soup and a spaghetti bolognese with all the standard sides and a cup of espresso cost 30 euro, which was quite pricey for what it is. The restaurant seemed... More

Family restaurant Main dish is quite good and tasty but waaaaaaay to expensive! Overpriced! Staff not so friendly and the restaurant does not feel cozy or confortable. Always check the bill!

It was way back in the late 1940s and early fifties that the founder of the most exquisite restaurant in Evora, Manuel Fialho came up with an idea to serve local, tasty Alentejo dishes in a fast food venue at the budget prices. Profit was slim and O Fialho abandoned the idea after a few years experiment. The idea itself... More

Once in Évora, we needed a lunch. From the square we went a pedestrian against the church and about 50 m from the square there is the restaurant. Next door is also another restaurant. At one entrance (the road) is the bar, which seems well attended. In the second entrance (on the farm) will be directly to the restaurant. An... More

As visitors on a bus tour earlier this week,my wife and I were rushed to find a restaurant to have lunch in Evora town centre. We expected the usual tourist menus; however, we stumbled onto a real gem in the A Muralha, a small family run restaurant patronized by locals. We had the 'Dish of the Day' which was a... More

Join the locals in this family-run no-frills restaurant. Simply great and unexpensive food. Eat at the bar or sit at one of a small number of tables. Authentic food, recommended for lunch.
