Great location right next to the castle in Beja. Amazing local food with lots of flavor. Staff was very friendly and very helpful.

Nice place located near Beja's castle, so it's easy to find. We ordered the traditional dish of the restaurant. Grilled mix for 2. The sweet of the apple mash kills the pork's fat. And it's delicious!

We were a party of 5 and we had lunch in this great restaurant. The food was spectacular as was the service! The prices were very fair as well. Will absolutely return to this lovely place next time I'm in Beja

We arrived expecting a very posh, upmarket restaurant. This place was just off the main road, warm and cosy with no airs and graces about it. We ordered the Frango assado no forno - roughly translated as roast chicken in the oven, with potatoes. We had the vegetable soup for the non-meat eaters; bread, olives, cheese and dried meats. This... More

Service from Mario was warm and helpful from the moment we walked in despite having a toddler and a newborn with us (potentially noisy customers!). He recommended the mixed grill and you can see from other reviews it is a very popular choice. It is a... More

We were trying to decide where to have dinner in Beja, when I was fascinated by this restaurant, which had close to a perfect five stars -- but only two reviews that I could see. On closer inspection, I realized that it had only two English-language reviews, but had 47 Portuguese-language reviews, all superb. That sounded like exactly the kind... More

You definitely need to have their fried pork served with potato chips. We got here by chance on our way to Evora (from Faro) and it was a very pleasant surprise. Simple but fantastic!
