beautiful dining room overlooking a terrace that wouldn't be out of place at Chelsea flower show , but the food steals the show , don't expect large portions but do expect exquisitely presented food lovingly prepared for that taste sensation as it hits your taste buds , choose from as many courses as you can afford , or if your... On recommendation we booked a table at Patrick Devos and I am happy to say we were not disappointed. We opted for the dinner tasting menu consisting of five courses with matching wines as well as an amuse bouche and petit fours with our coffee. Each course was a true culinary experience. It is expensive but really the standard here... More

We booked this restaurant because of its vegetarian saga menu. We were a family party of eight, with two of us celebrating birthdays within a day of each other. Most of us are vegetarian so we opted for the special menu . We checked out with the restaurant from England before booking and they were happy to cater for us.... More

This is an upmarket restaurant. It is housed in a beautiful period building and feels very special to walk into. As you would expect the interior is beautiful and the tables are well spaced. We visited in November but the rear dining room still had a good view of the pleasantly lit garden area. We both ordered seasonal game dishes.... More

We went on a Tuesday during a quite week and were lucky to be able to book a table just 24 hours in advance.Be advised that at busy times... More

I was treated here with the 4 course vegetarian menu with wine for my birthday and I was overwhelmed with the setting, the quality and the amazing treatment by all the staff. The food was so tasty and interesting and each wine was perfectly paired. The staff were brilliant in explaining each course and answering any questions. From the moment... More

Cocktails and delicious amuses bouches (hors d'oeuvres) in the spacious and wonderfully lit courtyard - beautifully presented by staff who explained each dish. Then into Art Deco dining room (although building is older) for 3 courses with a nice South African pinotage. My first course was vegetarian dish of variety of courgettes but was slightly disappointing as too oily however... More

We visited here on our second night in Bruges and had honestly the best meal I think we have ever eaten. We were very lucky to have been treated to dinner and a meal had already been picked out for us which is lucky as I am not sure I could have chosen for myself as the menu looked amazing.... More

RPD was suggested by the concierge in our hotel and it was a very nice restaurant. Nice garden for a pre-drinner drink, lots of space around tables, high quality food and (compared to London prices) very good value. A very nice fine dining restaurant.

The Restaurant Patrick Devos is housed in a historic building in the heart of Bruges. According to earliest sources available, dating from around the year 1300, the house was a refuge of the Ghent-based Saint Peter's Abbey. Behind the beautiful late-Gothic facades one discovers authentic Art Nouveau and Art Deco salons from 1900-1935, something which is unique for Bruges. The Art Deco dining room was completely designed by the renowned Ateliers d'Art de Courtrai De Coene Freres. Adjacent to it is a breathtaking Louis XVI salon. Behind the house the intimate winter garden can be found dating from the early 1900's and laid out in an Arts and Crafts style. These treasures of the interior arts form the setting for your gastronomic experience in Bruges. The Restaurant Patrick Devos serves seasonal dishes which stand out for their inventiveness, attractive presentation and harmonic blend of tastes. An exceptional method is used to compose the menus: first the wines are selected, and then a matching dish is created for each wine. Patrick Devos thus succeeds in achieving an optimal harmony between the wine and the meal. Patrick Devos has already won two awards for his carefully developed wine cellar, primarily stocked with New World wines. In 2000 he was named Wine Ambassador of the Year.
