Enid doesn't usually open on a Wednesday but she did for us and the whole family came in to make our lunch a restful and delicious experience. We sat, as a group of 30, in the back room with the brightly lit picture of the canals along one wall and the setting was ideal. The meal was very much better... More

Stopped in for a quick, light lunch. Recommended by our tour guide as one of the best spots on the market square. It was a warm sunny afternoon but we were seated quickly outdoors. We both had the veggie quiche with salad. The quiche was light and tasted home made. After so much overeating on vacation, the portion size was... More

excellent location, good quality food, local specialities, average prices, good friendly service. certainly not flemish gastronomy, but for a restaurant located in the very center of the touristic area (where by the nature of the place customers almost never come back and the restaurant does not have to make the effort to make loyal custimers), theyr offer is more than... We were warned that most places in the Grand Platz area would be rip offs but we found that not to be the case with Sint Joris. We had an excellent lunch - tasty quiche and local beer. Excellent service and so pleasant to have an al fresco lunch in beautiful Bruges.

We visited Bruges several years ago and received a warm and friendly reception from both host and staff at the Sint Joris. The same level of hospitality has been shown on the numerous occasions that we have returned to Bruges. This year was no exception. The staff were very welcoming and the food was very reasonably priced for a brasserie... More

We enjoyed a lovely lunch here last weekend. Very clean and tidy. Best to visit here in the warmer months when the outside tables are in use. Watch the world go by, with some nice, freshly prepared food.

We dined here on NYE, as there was very little spaces in other places. The menu was not bad with vegetarian and fish choices. The service was OK, but a little blunt (in my opinion) The waiter recommended the eel in green sauce as the best dish, but it looked and tasted NOT great!!! Free bread and butter, always a... More

Visited on 12/November/2015, for a very early, fly-by rapid lunch......Personally, I find the two gents working to be conscientious, affable, and professional - along with the lady inside. Food arrived quickly, as did drinks, whenever I required them - the shrimp croquettes starter was great, and once again the Mussels Sint Joris main, accompanied with chips and bread, were top-notch.

If you want to have a meal with pleasant and happy around you....don't step into this restaurant. .situated right in the centre of Bruges. ..it's far from inviting for a tourist. I wish I'd taken down the name of the person who 'waited on us'...or should I say 'asked us to leave'. Exactly....a humble question to clarify if the salt... More

Description
For over 40 years, the Sint-Joris restaurant, on the Markt in Bruges, has been run by the same family.

In 2013, the interior of the historic house was completely stripped and rebuilt.

Behind the typical facade and underneath the balks of the 13th century, you will discover a modern interior with lots of wood and warm tints which create a cosy atmosphere.

Well-known, traditional Belgian food is prepared in the artisanal kitchen, as Flemish beefstew, steaks, fisherman's dish, mummy's meatballs, shrimps croquets, chicken waterzooi,... The restaurant also serves a daily lunch and a good variety of vegetarian dishes.

Only first quality regional products are used in the kitchen, like local natural meat.

Sint-Joris specialises in cooking for groups and has room for up to 110 people.

Discover an honest and delicious restaurant in the centre of Bruges, a world heritage city.
