It was ok, just ok.... Whilst I cant say there was anything badly wrong there was nothing that excited me and would make me return. Felt I was in a bit of a tourist trap, and it was a bit if a an in/out meal. No real customer engagement. Don't get me wrong, service was ok, food was ok, but... More

RESTAURANT'S FAVOURITE REVIEW
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 11 January 2017 via mobile

In January in Bruges you cannot expect too many restaurants to be open so we had to really adjust our expectations as many of the restaurants we had identified as ones we wanted to eat at were closed for post Christmas holidays. We came across this restaurant by chance as it turned out to be really good good, great value... More

Decent restaurant, safe choice if you want to avoid the tourist traps but don't except an unforgettable experience as well. Staff tried to be friendly but was sometimes boorish.

We went here as it was close to a bar we were going to after. Service was very poor, almost rude. We were 2 couples in our 30s and polite. I was given my dinner with one of the main items missing, when i asked about this he just shrugged and said they had run out!! I returned the dish.... More

Most of the restaurants are above average in Brugge. But this one should be in the black list because of its unpleasant staff.

We were struck by how many people were in this restaurant in a cold January weekday night- always a good advert. Welcome fine. Menus in numerous languages - just ask. We went for the set meal at €55 ( whatever one's views on Brexit may be, reality is that the £ is worth less than it should). It included an... More

We booked through Tripadvisor and when we arrived they didn't seem interested and just said we could sit at either of the tables for 2 which were on the waiter's run. We asked if we could sit at a table on the mezzanine and they said no as he didn't want to have to wait up and down stairs. When... More

Had lunch here. I had the entrecôte, it was HUGE, but tasty, could not eat even half of it. Husband had the grandmothers veal stew, but the veal was very tough. Had starters but that was probably too much. The bill was 90 euro so not not cheap. Choose your food carefully

When we first stepped into the restaurant we were surprised by the rather old, in dire need of refurbishment, interior of the place. Although some might say this vintage interior might define the character of the place and might be quite charming, it was a bit to old for our taste. We also were a bit astonished by the rather... Great food and good choice of local beers. Welcoming and cosy atmosphere. Really great location, 2 minutes from Markt. Service a little brusk and the kitchen closes promptly at 10ish (which is usual for Brugges).
