Even locals have to look for this place, behind the action of the St-Baafsplein, with a terrace on a quiet courtyard. The menu offers local specialties like "stoverij", but we chose the seasonal asparagus prepared in the traditional way with hard boiled egg, melted butter...More

Had the set lunch for 15 euro,s , we had soup and a steak. Both were excellent. Really nice surroundings and a lovely cellar which looks like it has been preserved from years ago. Would definitely go back to Ghent and eat here again.

Tucked away near the Belfry in a 13th century hall, but as a restaurant very modern. Pleasant, English speaking staff, great ambience and lunch menu was excellent value (though drinks are not cheap). Not touristy, genuine local restaurant, not open on Sunday or Monday.
