We would not normally go to McDonalds but, the portions in Belgium are so large that we do not always want a full meal there so we sneak into McDonalds once in a while whilst there. Amidst the beautiful old Ghent, there is another McDo. It is located in a veeery old beautiful building, so, one could expect some nice interior, too. No way. It is one of the ugliest typical basic interiors in the world. Total bummer. I did not believe my eyes once entered. Still alright to spend 1 euro for a small burger.
Weather you are off from the tram or are in a hurry to snatch a bite before you move to the next beautiful spot in Ghent.. It is there..
The service was terrible, they got our order wrong 4 times. You have to pay for sauce. I stupidly agreed to the offer of mayo and then noticed it on the bill. Also the toilets are guarded by a woman who barks "40 cents" at children and adults alike.
Here, in the evening we were drinking coffee, because the café is open until 11 pm. Standarnoe menu for the cafe in this series. Two floors, so there is always a place
