We appreciated the taste and the presentation of the food. We also enjoyed discovering original plate preparation and delicious savor. Wine proposed by the restaurant and associated with each plate was really good. Unfortunately the service was not at the same level. Very basic comments...More

We took the 6 course meal and it was a fantastic experience. The meal was beautifully presented, tastes were very different and interesting. Service was excellent. We will be back again! Thanks to the team @ Agathopede!

We took the 6 course menu & wine recommended by the sommelier. First dish was very disappointing, with very little balance. The rest was average. Some very good ideas, nice presentations, but seasonning generally absent and no real surprises. Also, we were sad not to...More

Here on my way to Antwerpen, the restaurant is small, yet the food is great, as I was reading, chef Carl is adventureous, his complimentary appetizers were amazing, even though we didn't go for the fixed menu, the beef and the shrimp and veal appetizer...More

The cuisine is nice, innovative and smiling. Very good quality/price ratio, took the 4 dishes Saturday nite menu and we were delighted. Good level of innovation in the receipt, not too much, good balance. Healthy and good quality ingredients. The place is also very nice,...More

One of those restaurants trying very hard. Wanting to be top notch nouvelle cuisine but sadly are overdoing it. Too many ingredients in the plates. But team looks very committed, working hard, even the chef runs out if the kitchen to help the service! Need...More

Small, but classy. Good service, very good actually. And some nice whisky and gin selections in the bar with a lady who knows how to pour a glass. I stayed in the Hotel where the restaurant belongs to.

Led by the young chef Carl Gillain, the Agathopède takes its name from a brotherhood from Namur, ancient and secret of the 19th century approached innovations in the old kitchen, of which was part of the illustrious Félicien Rops and the nobility of the time.
