All the place we like are closed on Sundays evening so we chose this restaurant in an old picturesque house on the old market square because it is boasting the best "boulet" (meatball) of Liège, served with chips and salad. My friend took it and I the "filet américain" (steak tartare). The salad was a more decorative than eatable small... More

Attracted by the location and local specialities we were not disappointed in either. Quick and friendly service added to the experience. We especially liked that they gave you the wine of your choice (in our case delicious Corsican Pinot Noir) and then you pay for how much of the bottle you drink. We had only intended to have a glass... More

This was a nostalgic return visit after 8 years, but I was not disappointed. The outside location is great for watching the world go by, and the interior is delightfully old-fashioned. I chose a local main course, "Boulette", which was tasty and filling. The chocolate mousse dessert was unforgettable. How do they manage such reasonable prices?

This little restaurant, tucked between larger places, is a gem. Recommend sitting upstairs where you can look out on the square and enjoy the ambiance of a historic house with the old wooden floor and timbered beams. The service was exceptional, the friendly waitress finding us a table upstairs although we came on a weekend night without a reservation. The... More

We ate here on a Monday evening quite late. Accordingly it was very quiet. What we got was traditional Belgian food cooked very well with first class ingredients. Delicious. Service was fast and sympathetic. I strongly recommend this restaurant At 80€ for two including a bottle of wine, starters and beef and fish mains the value was good too given... More

This place is so tiny, jammed between the big bars and brasseries of Place du Marché, that it's easily missed. Which is a good thing. Because if more people found it you'd never get a table, which would be a crying shame for anyone who wants to sample real home-style local cuisine like boulletes (meatballs in a fruity sauce), croquettes... Lovely greeter served us. Accepted to make a subsitute and the daily menu to my partner without any supplement. Good home cooking. Nothing from the supermarket. Lovely decor in a perfect location. I recommand the "boullette" of meats and of course the Cafe Liégeois to finish.

I ate here alone (the first time I have done this!!) and they made me feel very comfortable and welcome. I had a table upstairs in the window which was great and the waitress was very helpful, allowing me to try the boulons sauce before ordering as I was worried it may be a bit sweet. Turns out, they were... More

With its narrow frontage, this small restaurant can easily be overlooked amongst the large pavement cafes. Excellent food, pleasant and attentive service: an enjoyable experience. Nothing else to say, really.

Best steak I had in a long time. Simple, but tender en nicely cooked. Accompanied with attentive service, we had a good dinner. The restaurant is located on a large terras, which is nice to sit at during a nice summer evening. This place looks a bit shabby from the outside or compared to the places around it. It's however...
