We booked the restaurant for our wedding anniversary. Menu was great and service was great. My husband wanted to try to tuna but it was not in the set menu but they didn't hesitate to tweak the menu a bit to accommodate my husband's wish. Service is just right, not too slow but not too quick. The plates look was... More

Ok. first its an old building with a small walled in garden half way down a not too smart street, but if you want to relax in an unpretentious atmosphere so you can enjoy many wonderful tastes and flavors, then eat here. The staff and chef were friendly and so helpful. Its not cheap, if you want cheap go to... More

We had a tasting menu, well executed and tasty, Portions are good. An experienced and professional waiter who gives precise, brief explanation of the dish and wine. Menu pricey, quiet expensive compare to some international cities. Good experience

After a week on the road it was wonderful to sit down to a creative, well-paced meal in a totally unpretentious atmosphere. The asparagus entree was simply spectacular, looking and tasting! The lamb that my husband had for his main course was beautifully seasoned, tender, and mouthwatering. I had the cabillaud and it, too, was just perfect. Wines were "paired"... More

Tournai is quiet jewel of a city in western Belgium and La Petite Madeleine is its jewel of a restaurant. On a quiet, very ordinary street just out of the city centre the restaurant is beautiful and stylish, an oasis that includes a courtyard that must be glorious in the summer. We were unable to make an online booking but... More

We felt welcome immediately. Our waitress gave us great recommendations on the menu and the wines to order with it. The atmosphere was really nice and every detail of the restaurant were well researched. Once we received our meals, we understood why we had to book our diner few weeks before. The taste, the food' quality and the originality of... More

We sought out La Petite Madeleine on the basis of other reviews, and we were delighted with it. This restaurant is not in the exact centre of Tournai, but is not that hard to find. Luckily it took us a few minutes to park, otherwise we would have got there before 7 p.m. and found it closed. We hadn't booked,... More
