We had a blast at the schievelavabo. Ate a typical Belgian beef stew (carbonades), was delicious. Perfect place to have a cosy dinner with friends. Don't worry coming in late they take orders after 10. Ask for the waiter Christophe, fun guy.

One of us had lunch in the on-street al fresco area of Schievelavabo on a sunny Sunday and found the traffic quite disturbing. The food, a “tomate crevettes”(stuffed tomato with shrimps) was nice, but the waitress was almost rude. As there aren’t many alternatives in the Altitude 100-neighbourhood, especially on Monday when the nearby pizzeria Cosi com’è (Place de l'Altitude... More

Good food, friendly staff and best Irish Coffee from Brussels and around. They're famous for their spaghetti bolognese but they have very good burgers as well.

This restaurant is usually thought of as guest friendly. We must have come on a bad day. My lunch partner accidentally spilled her soft drink onto my lap, the table and the floor. I went into the service area to ask for a fabric napkin or a tea towel so I could go and wash the big brown sticky spots... More

Good brasserie food but nothing special beside that. Good pastas and meals, big portions and cheap for quantity you get. Setting is nice, can be very busy and noisy as it's a famous place in Brussels. Ideal to hang out with friends, to full you belly quickly and enjoy a few drinks.

This typical belgian brasserie does not oversell itself so you can't be disappointed. It is intended to be a nice hangout for the locals. If you're looking for this kind of ambiance it's about the only option in the neighberhood. I would even go as far as writing that the quality is quite good compared to the price paid. A... More

This is a typical Brussels cafe extended into a fairly large eatery. The atmosphere is great but the quality of the food is low. As a local my advice would be not to try this place if you want to have a real taste of Belgian food. Portions are not very large and you feel like you are having some... More

The one I visit is near to Montgomery ; it is a nice decorated typical brussels brasserie. Simple and fresh food at very reasonable prices. Good portions too.

There are four of them and I visited the one located in Place de l'Altitude Cent. It is a cosy little restaurant with homemade- like couking and excellent prices! I have been there more than once -I happen to stay very close and I had meat balls with tomato sauce, burger, spaghetti bolonnaise and there were all really good! The... More
