Both my mother and I were craving Japanese food. We shared a sashimi platter and each followed with a dish. Mum: tempura set. I: soba tempura. The usual condiments were served prior to the meal and there was tea on offer. I finished it all off with a mochi vanilla ball. Service is good, food tasty. I'd definitely go back... More

I've come to this place because it's supposed to serve the best Japanese food in Brussels (from reviews I read online). The food is indeed very nice, but relatively expensive. But I was very dissapointed by the staff: they are all super unfriendly. We had to wait 30 minutes before we could even order our drinks. I would not return,... More

There are a few undercover politeness rules that you need to bear in mind before judging them, e.g.: 1. Kitchen as exact closing hours, 22h at night which means they literally stop serving and start cleaning 2. Reservations are a must and be ready to sit at the bar - which for me is actually fun to watch them cook... More

This place is exceptional : very easy-going atmosphere but excellent Japanese food! The sashimi is just delicious and other typical Japanese dishes are properly well prepared. I go there once per week on average and there's always something new to try. Staff is relaxed and smiling. Always a good atmosphere in this place. And last but not least, you're having... More

Yes they don't have the best ramen and sashimi in Brussels but if you like grilled ox's tongue, chicken's kidney and other similar stuff, you cannot get it elsewhere in Brussels. They taste good and are reasonable in terms of price.

I'm quite picky with Japanese but was totally satisfied at Izakaya. Don't go for sushi, but the sashimi, sobs, gyoza, yakitori and all other small played we tried were awesome. If you're looking for authentic Japanese in Brussels, definitely try Izakaya!

I had a dinner in this small restaurant a few weeks ago, first of all, as said in the title, the waiters are rude and they don't speak very well french but another negative point is that already around 21.00 i couldn't order anymore some grilled snacks because they couldn't manage the orders.... very disappointed. The takoyaki was terrible, too... More

We went there for dinner and were seated at the bar. Service was really bad almost impolite as soon as we entered the place. The food is just okay. We like Japanese food and were looking forward to trying this restaurant but we will not go back.

As soon as you get in, the waiter -who is not Japanese- asks you to rush to order because the kitchen will be closed soon. Well, It's Saturday 13h30. Why not let's order quickly. Finally 5 or 6 clients will arrive up to 30 min after us and they will be asked to rush as well. Perhaps they should decide... More

Unfortunately we did not manage to try the kitchen because although we had made a reservation one day before and we arrived there on time, the waiter pretended to have not noted down our reservation. Apparently, they did not respect the reservation and our table was given to other people who came without a reservation. So in case you want... More
