My favorite restaurant in Brussels. The ambience is awesome. The staff is great and the food is truly fantastic. Been here quite a few times and no matter what you order, it's always great!

Fast and very big portions - but not really my cup of tea. Too noisy and the food was a rathe basic experience

After taking the recommendation from the concierge we stopped in for dinner here and would highly recommend this restaurant to others! In a neighbourhood where there are many "tourist traps" this is a real gem. Excellent service, wonderful wine selection and food was delicious! We had the well priced set menu, crab ravioli amazing and the sole with butternut and... More

Amazing amazing starter and main (we both had set menu) but the pudding was disappointing - some odd textures and flavours going on. Friendly staff and great atmosphere. More pricey if you go a la carte but the food is delicious. Would return.

The Scheltema is just off a street with dozens of restaurants, it (along with Chez Vincent opposite) are the best restaurants in the neighbourhood. The restaurant serves a range of Belgian food including mussels, oysters and Dame Blanche. Nice selection of beers and wines.

I have been going to Scheltema for many years and the quality remains high. My favourites are oysters and, of course, the grilled sole ....

I have dined here before (Summer and Winter) and the Menu is varied with plenty that appeals to me. The decor is traditional Brussels dark wood interior. This time on a cold mid-week day in January I had a Seabass dish that was delicious and my friend had a Scollops and Endives dish that was very good too. I also... More

Recommended by our hotel, this corner establishment in a lane full of restaurants served just superb food. Sardines were a stand-out and the main course of fish buttery and light, packed with flavours. Not the greatest decor or ambience, quite old-fashioned actually, but just remarakble food.

If you want something local and traditional, come here. The menu offers nice dishes at an affordable price. I was lucky to be able to have some good food at the end of the year when most restaurants were closed. Though it is located in the touristic area, this restaurant is not a tourist trap.

Tucked somewhere in an alley near the Grand Place, stepping into this restaurant brings one back to the nostalgic warm, rustic times and atmosphere. The decor of wooded paneling etc brings an old world cowboy charm. The service was immaculate, and very attentive waiters. We ordered the fois gras, which was unusually big in size, but very gladly and sumptuously... More
