My favourite fish restaurant in town .. and also the best angus beef steak in town .. Not often that you can find a place were meat and fish are both excellent... it makes everybody deliciously happy!

We were 12 people. Sitting outside is great because the evening sun shines on the terrace. Outside only 3 small tables for max 4 people and a few others for 2 people. 350g Entrecôte was not good, the fish was good. The place tries a bit of a ripp-off. - french fries were not delivered because table too small. When... More

Not only was it perfect food (really the best croquettes de crevettes ever, and incredible tomatoes ang great smoked haddock) and perfect service, we were shown which table catches the last sun.... apparently these are literally the last rays of brilliance as the restaurant s about to close! Such a shame!

With members from all over Europe we enjoy our meetings in Brussels and especially enjoying the cuisine of Brussels. For the last meeting of the current chair it was his choice and whilst the food was good it was not, in my view, excellent. We could not book (due to the convention) but it was not busy and we easily... More

Broad seafood menu, prepared sympathetically. Excellent wine list. The restaurant also shows the work of Alechinsky, a Cobra artist, which adds to the art and dining mood. Does sometimes attract noisy business execs on expense accounts; they should learn to be more composed when dining. Does not detract though from the quality of the food. Eaten there lots of times... In an area where most of the fish restaurants are tourist traps, La Marie Joseph stands out by offering something different. The service is sober but professional. The menu is simple, with many traditional Belgian dishes but with high quality products. The decoration is not trendy but of good taste (with nice paintings from Alechinsky). This contributes to an overall... More

Fish is really good and so is the chocolate mousse, but also the steak. I would say one of the beat ones on St Catherine square.

The place is obviously popular, as the night we visited it was all full. The interior is nice and kept in white-bright style, but tables are put a bit close to each other, and it is quite noisy. The place is busy and this reflects the attitudes of the staff, who doesn't have much time to talk to their guests.... More
