A friend of ours recommended we pop by Moeder Lambic during our visit to Brussels, because this was where he found the best beer in all the world, a Troubadour Magma IPA. Being a big fan of IPA myself, this was a welcome suggestion. We...mapped out a 3km walk through the winding streets of old town Brussels, and after a few wring turns, finally found Fountaisplein and the welcoming patio in front of Moeder Lampic. My friend was close, this is a really good IPA, especially as the other European IPAs I’d tasted tended to be rather lack lustre. This was flavourful and robust. Returned two nights later for more, ordered along with some small plates (a quiche and a creamy tartine with toasted sourdough bread - both delicious).More
Really nice bar with ample tables to sit in groups or bar space to sit at the bar.
The food was really nice too which complements the beer.
Large selection of tap beer but many bottles as well.
Focussing in Saisons is possible, with the...ample range.More
