One of the best sushi we’ve ever tasted!

We walked in around 9pm without a reservation and quickly recognized Nemo from the pictures! The place was packed, but Nemo quickly offered to sit us by his kitchen by the time a table frees up. He offered us drinks and chips while we waited, he took our orders for when we’re seated. The food was absolutely delicious! We ordered a fire roll (this is a spectacle itself), a tempura shrimp roll and a roasted Seabass in a banana skin! Every one of these three dishes was fresh, tasty, very well seasoned, perfectly cooked with an awesome presentation. We also have to mention the waitress was so lovely! And although the place is a bit small, it’s so clean, authentic and cozy. Overall, an absolutely must when you’re in Antwerp. Make sure you call to make a reservation before going there. Enjoy!

No wonder it’s #1 in Antwerp

This is our 3rd time coming here. We already have an idea of how great the whole place is, so this time we wanted to take some risks and try something that we would not have normally ordered, and it just never disappoints. We had the mussels, the sushi sandwiches and the scallop special and all 3 dishes were absolutely delicious! It’s not specifically bling bling so don’t come wearing your tuxedos/suits but rather come here and expect food authenticity, great and attentive service and a little cute and cozy hidden Antwerp diamond. No wonder it’s now the #1 restaurant in the city. Very deserving!!! P.s. make sure you ask for “Asian spicy” for the mussels

Highly recommended Sushi place

When we made reservations they immediately told us that the chef is the only one making the sushi, so to manage our expectations they already informed us that sometimes it can take a bit longer before you will receive your food. And this was in fact the case but it was no problem as the ambiance was very good and the waiter was really nice. So maybe when you are in a hurry this is not the place to go to. But other than that....the food was really great and the sushi was far better than in the ordinary sushi restaurants. Everything was prepared on the spot, was really fresh and the taste was great. We highly recommend Nemo's Seafood & Sushi and we will definitely come again when we're in the neighborhood.

Extremely friendly service with attention to details. The food tastes even better than it looks and I literally wanted everything on the menu. Best sushi I've had in Antwerp. We will defintely come again!

Best meal of the year

Ironically I've never been a fan of sushi but I didn't know it could taste this good. Booked table for 2 during a 3 day stay in Antwerp; shared a California sushi starter, curried fish for main - beautifully presented and savoured every morsel. Lovely evening all round and a definite highlight of our stay. Very highly recommended.

There’s sushi and there’s Nemo’s Sushi! Love it!!

This place is simply amazing! Both Sarah and chef Nemo are really friendly and they go the extra mile to give you the greatest dinner experience. They wrote a personal card for my boyfriend who was celebrating his birthday and provided space for our newborn, who was only 2 weeks old when we were there. The food is so yummy (the specials are highly recommended!)! There’s sushi and then there’s Nemo’s Sushi, which easily tops regular sushi!! A place worth visiting!!

Was invited to come for dinner last minute. Honestly had no idea about this restaurant so everything came as a total surprise. And what a surprise it was. The best sushi i have ever eaten, wow. And i am very very picky when it comes to my sushi. The attention to detail and the freshness of the fish, perfectly cooked rice. Everything was pretty flawless. Deserves all the praise it gets. 10++

Best sushi ever

Not reserved but still very welcome. We immediately received the explanation that it took longer than average because the chef is alone in the kitchen and everything is freshly prepared. For that reason alone we definitely wanted to stay. To start with, all praise for the service. Hostess Sarah was born for her job. Attentive, very friendly that makes you feel at home. Secondly, the food itself was really tasty. We took starter: shrimp cakes and then the sushi and tataki. We eat sushi very often but never like here. Fresh, very tasty. I even forgot the soy sauce. In short, a small restaurant that serves food with a big personality. We will happily return from West Flanders.

The long wait for food spoilt the experience

The food was very good quality and good value when it arrived. The chef & staff were also cheerful and nice. However, we arrived on time for our 8:15pm reservation, but our food only started to arrive at our table at 10:15pm. The delay spoil the experience.

Best California roll ever

We had edamame and shrimp cake as a starter, followed by 4 sushi rolls. Awsome taste and crazy fresh. Made and served by a lovely couple. A must for anyone who loved excellent quality sushi.

Everything I've read about this lovely little restaurant is true! We received a very warm welcome from Sarah. Her husband Nemo was in the kitchen where he prepared the most delicious sushi for us. It was beautiful late summer weather, so we could eat outside. We enjoyed everything!

Absolutely recommended. Discover the tastiest sushi in Antwerp here. The food is prepared with so much refinement, passion and attention to detail. With some dishes it is even a spectacle how it is served. The combo of very tasty food and warm welcome makes this place one that really deserves to be discovered.

Great food, the personal attention, quality of the food and the original preparation is truly sublime. We have often eaten Sushi, but this was really beyond expectations. Highly recommended! Be patient, because everything is made with care and fresh.

We fully agree with all other enthusiastic guests. As avid sushi fans, we must definitely say that this is among the top. Started with spice mussels, delicious and nice and spicy, our daughters who are normally not fans of them, ate almost everything. The specialty of the day was tuna. In a word, super, very subtly marinated. Then tempura shrimp roll, spicie tuna, fire roll and the soft shell crab. The latter is also highly recommended.

Sushi with a twist at Nemo: a culinary surprise!

I had a wonderful experience last night at Nemo restaurant in Antwerp. It is a cozy and modern restaurant with super friendly service. We opted for the sushi suggestion, which pleasantly surprised me. The sushis were fresh, tasty and creative. I enjoyed the combination of salmon, avocado and mango, the shrimp tempura and the spicy tuna. The portions were generous and the price was reasonable. I definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who loves sushi but also wants to try something new. I will definitely come back again! 😊
