The restaurant is carefully furnished to make it look and feel like in ancient Japan. Very nice atmosphere. Foods are nice. The prices are quite reasonable for Japanese cuisine. Service is good and staff are friendly.

Had a wonderful irodori sushi as starter and then had tempura and seafood miso ramen. Enjoyed the natural flavours!

Great service, in English and Dutch. Tasty delicate food. Good value. Would come again. The burgers are small, but filling and full of healthy veg. If I was really hungry I might need to order two things but it's so cheap that wouldn't be a problem.

I had lunch and dinner here, trying the salmon bento and the ramen. I also tried some starters, tea and the sake. Overall quality was pretty good, service was polite and friendly and I would go back. I didn't have the opportunity to try the sushi as the chef was on holiday. Nice atmosphere and setting and reasonable prices.

The service and food are excellent! The miso ramen and light tofu are delicious! The setting of the restaurant is so Japanese. For the price that you pay, I think its all worth it. Will come back next time

When it comes to eating anything raw, I'm particularly choosy where I dine. So when a friend took me to Genki Tei I was suspiciously careful and ordered only cooked food. I was impressed with the high quality and very well made dish. I've since been back 3 times and each time more impressed than the last one. For the... More

Ate here again - this time the seafood okonomiyaki (yum!) and we shared an Osaka style sushi (fine) and my friend had the excellent dragon roll. Last time I had the sushi menu, but that was really too much food for me. Will be back, most certainly.

I had the Beef Volcanic Ramen (normal spicy) as well the pork gyoza. The ramen broth was a little sweet than traditional miso broth (perhaps because of the teriyaki-marinated beef), but I really enjoyed it. Pork gyoza was also a bit sweet and not as juicy as I usually like it. I absolutely love ramen and have tried some in... More

I came to try their ramen. I tried the beef volcano 'normal spicy' ramen. My husband took unagi don. I was skeptical at first but they proof me wrong. The broth is really nice and the beef seasoned very well. The service is quick and we got appetizers from the house. It is worth your visit.

Been here several times and always been more than satisfied. Friendly staff, good food and a nice atmosphere. I've read it in different reviews but do try their volcano ramen! I can also recommend the different bento box options for an alternative lunch.
