This is the restaurant we always try and head for when in Amsterdam. When you consider that Amsterdam is one of the greatest melting pots of different cultures and different cuisines it seems strange that we should eat here so often but there is something...More

Located one block back from the Leidsestraat close to the Leidseplein. This is an old Dutch style restaurant serving very good Dutch food. Three of us enjoyed some delicious traditional Dutch food. The Erwtensoep with roggerbrood and spec was excellent, flavorful and rich. Likewise the...More

Impolite waitresses and... A lot of things... What a bad experience! You order something and it comes in 1 hour! You ask question, nobody look!

Really good food and service. We dropped in at around 19.15 on a Monday and were told that there wouldn't be a table available until 20.45 or 21.00. So we booked a table for the next evening. Not cheap but worth it.

We were lucky enough to get the last table for two mid week, so would definitely recommend booking! We both had the pea soup followed by the stamppot with sauerkraut and sausage which were delicious and very filling! But we did manage to make room...More

BOOK IN ADVANCE... this is not a large restaurant, and we were extremely lucky to arrive without a booking at 6.30pm and get seated. Every table was full right up to the time we left, stuffed and very happy. The main attraction here is the...More

We loved this place. Everything we ate, from pea soup and cheese croquettes to stamppot was excellent. The ingredients are clearly of a good quality and the kitchen is skilled. Wine was good and the staff, especially our waiter Jonas, was excellent. He had a...More

Description
We are a typical dutch restaurant with only local fresh food. Great beers from Amsterdam and local wines.
