I have found it quite hard to find traditional Dutch restaurants in Amsterdam so Moeders was a great way to try the local cuisine. Absolutely loved the pea soup. Tip: book well in advance for busy periods.

I came here by myself for some Dutch cuisine and ordered the hotchpotch. It was very yummy even though it was quite simple. The sauerkraut potato was absolutely divine!!! Service was perfect. I sat outside on the canal and it was a wonderful sunset evening.

Having already eaten kroketten and stroopwafels in Amsie, the next one of the list was the stamppot. Heard it could be very busy during dinner, so we went there before the dinner rush. The mash potatoes at Moeders didn’t disappoint us, a good family meal....More

Great casual restaurant with "home cooked" Dutch food. We enjoyed trying different dishes and the service was excellent.

Excellent trad Dutch cuisine. Good service in an informal atmosphere. Went with my wife having booked ahead as it gets very busy. Started with the carpaccio which was excellent.Followed up with the star of the meal: the Hotchpotch" of smoked sausage, mash with sauerkraut, bacon...More

Moeders provided us with the traditional Dutch cuisine we were looking for. Excellent soups to start with a very generous portion of stamppot, sausage, meatball, and bacon for main. The food was full of flavour, and the waiting staff were friendly and super efficient. I...More

It was great to finally enjoy some traditional food. Apparently we were lucky to get a table without a booking. Funny how the same thing seemed to happen to everyone who came in though. The food, drinks and service was great. Very good atmosphere.

Festooned with the smiling pictures of thousands of guests' mothers, Moeders is an unabashed tribute to home cooked meals, mismatched and time worn place settings, and the warm and fuzzy comfort that fills us when we think of our mothers' love. The atmosphere alone is...More

We booked this restaurant in advance as we knew it would be busy. We wanted a Dutch meal and were not disappointed. The restaurant is only small and very quirky, probably not to everyone's taste but we loved it! Service and food was very good....More

Popped in for coffee and apletaart on our way back from dinner, we'd walked so far we got hungry on the way back to where we were staying, so glad we did. Absolutely delicious, I keep thinking about it and it was weeks ago now....More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.
