It started as a table d'hote by two Chez Panisse alums over a dozen years ago. It's now a little larger, and the menu a little more complicated than a fixed four course. But it's still like eating in a chef's home dining room, still smart and delicious, and now has an expanded wine list (they own the wine bar/small... More

Chef/owner Cees Helfring worked alongside the renown Alice Waters at Chef Panisse in CA. His menu and presentation are reflective of Waters' philosophy of truly fresh, local ingredients that blend so smoothly no one taste stands out. This small, white table cloth restaurant with just chef Helfring and a sous working the kitchen puts out beautiful dishes served by a... More

Small restaurant so do make reservations. It has a very down to earth atmosphere, which I enjoyed very much. The menu changes regulary and always represents the present season. We had the 4 dish menu, the portions not too big but just right. Wine suggestion excellent. Service was also on point. Didn't rush us and wasn't slow at the same... More

We were recommended this restaurant as they would accommodate vegetarians although their regular menu, which changes daily, is meat and fish-based. It did not disappoint. The food was truly excellent, and clearly made with love and care, in an informal atmosphere. We had 3 different wines, all by the glass - one with each course- recommended by the waiter. Perhaps... Portion and timing for each course was perfect to let you enjoy the next one...perfect blend of herbs, sauce and light on carbs...our bill was less than apps and cocktails in SF! Menu changes daily with produce and protein in market. We walked in and lucked out...we overheard people booked a month ahead!

The food is...wow. But be prepared. You need to rest for a bit later :-) The cousine is very rich, french style, creative and not common. And if you are a wine lover you will not be disappointed here.

Marius proposes upscale and modern table d'hôtes meals in a very nice neighboorhood, north of the city. The little streets and bridges around the restaurant contribute to making the "getting there and leaving" a very enjoyable experience. The menu changes often based on market availability in order to use the freshest ingredients. Everything was excellent and refined, and the suggested... More

Located in a quiet neigborhood adjacent to the Haarlemmerplein. Small restaurant with an inviting decor and welcoming hosts. In its thirteenth year and a daily changing menu. All fresh ingredients. Vitello tonnato was a thick slice of roasted veal topped with delicious sauce. Grilled fish in a rhubarb sauce was surprising and fresh. Bouillabaise well stocked, tasty, and freshly made.... More

Description
Already more then 10 years Marius is a concept as a small table d' hote with a daily changing menu of 4 courses. We adhere the refined country kitchen: simply real food made from natural ingredients, maybe French, maybe Mediterranean, but surely our expression of what we like and oh dear... How much we love veggies. Since we moved to our new location March 2012, we are slightly more of a restaurant and therefor a bit more spacious and comfortable. But at the same time it is still cosy and sometimes crowded with conviviality and we still partly have our family styled shared tables. At Marius we always serve what we find on the market. Our 4 course menu changes daily en costs 47,50 euro. Next to with the menu we always have a few specialities like Bouillabaise and Vitello Tonato. Alongside the menu we serve, if you like, a appropriate wine suggestion. But gladly we invite you to study our extensive wine card and find you your favorite bottle. When the weather allows we have a little Parisien like, sidewalk terrace.
