Contemporary restaurant with an original, modern menu of chefs plates or a la carte options. Creative recipes with compatible tastes and combination of textures result in some unusual presentations. Interesting cocktails with high end liquor. Restaurant was nearly full with tables and table-counters set very close together resulting in some very loud voices overpowering the room and conversation of others... More

Came here last night and had the dive in tasting menu. The staff was amazing, friendly and professional. Cocktails and food were good. Our tasting menu had appetizers, fish, meat, and even 2 desserts. It was decent, but unfortunately I was not overwhelmed. But still a good experience.

Extremely good restaurant. Bubbly environment and perfect hosts. They never stop to amaze me with the quality of their food and drinks and the personal attention. Whenever in Amsterdam do go to Envy. You will not be disappointed.

We were excited to visit Envy after being recommended but the experience wasn't great. Had to ask twice for bread, left our warm white wine off the table so I had to get up to get it My daughters main course was two short ribs the size of your little finger served with nothing else .... they were just fat.... Went early (7pm) on Sunday night and enjoyed the quiet atmosphere. Had the place to ourselves for 45 minutes. Very stylish setting which will be getting major touch up in early April to brighten up the somewhat dark interior. Food was great. Incredibly fresh and tasty bread. We had prosciutto and cheese plate followed by veal tenderloin, short ribs and... More

Came here on NYE. Food was a set menu and there are a variety of dishes- all amazingly presented. Very dark and cosy. We left just before midnight as there wasn't much of a buzz so I wouldn't recommend it as a NYE celebration if you wanted to go all out on the celebration side of it.

Super creative food with excellent service. This is a great restaurant for a leisurely meal - great wine list and creative dishes. Everything is small plate, so you really get a great opportunity to try lots of different flavors. Great wine list and funky decor.

We went for the chefs tasting menu and it was excellent. Every dish prepared with eye to detail and the price was very good compared to the amount of food we got. We got one of the best cheese boards we had in a while and even ordered a second dessert because they looked so good. Service was also excellent... More

My only regret is that I didn't do the chef's tasting menu! It was suggested by the hostess/waitress, but there were SO many yummy things on the menu that I wanted to try... We had the steak tartar, oyster, mussels, and veal dishes. Just a warning, there is only one oyster in the dish so order accordingly... While the mussels... More

Visited Envy after reading about it in a Daily Telegraph article and was very happy with our visit. We went for the 4 course tasting menu, but ended up with more like 7! Every course was delicious and the service was top notch too. I'd definitely go back here and would recommend it to anyone visiting Amsterdam.

Fifteen restaurant in Amsterdam is an exciting offshoot of Jamie Oliver’s famous Fifteen London, a great example of one set of dynamic, generous people inspiring others to act. In this case, the ‘others’ are Sarriel Taus and Coen Alewijnse who have created this combination restaurant and chef’s school in partnership with Fifteen London to benefit the struggling young people of Amsterdam. So what’s it like at the dining end of the equation? Very cool. The arty cosmopolitan style includes vibrant graffiti-scrawled sheet metal walls contrasting nice with the smart, sleek modern lines, designer seating and white table cloths. The restaurant seats up to 200, yet can still feel right for an dinner a deux. Each night a tasting menu is on offer, inspired by Jamie Oliver incorporating only the freshest regional produce. The modern Italian menu changes weekly and includes one of Jamie’s favourite antipasti to start, a first dish of fresh pasta, gnocchi or risotto, second course of meat, fish, poultry or game, and, we’re quoting here, ‘a wicked dessert’. A wine tasting menu is available to match the food tasting menu, or choose your own from the excellent list.
