The atmosphere was good, like entering your hangout. We were served all kinds of little appetites and great wine. My husband and I had the fish menu. All kind of people were there and our glasses were never empty for long. The owner was very friendly and talkative. We hope to visit again very soon.

I visit this place with a friend after both of us craved for a good tongue (cow) dish. The food was good. We got 4-5 tongue pieces (each dish) with mash-potatoes (my friend took rice) and fresh salad. The dish cost 25 euros, which is not cheap, but for this kind of dish it is a good price.

The choices in Amsterdam for Kosher dinners in thin, but at least there are several very good choices, and this is one. It is a little pricey for Kosher food, but not terribly so. Your on vacation, so spend a few bucks and have a good, very good, meal.

What saves this place from obscurity is the paucity of choice in Amsterdam. The faded decor, unchanged since the first time I visited 15 years ago, accurately depicts what you can expect to eat. If you do eat there the Yemeni soup is your best bet. Overall the plainer food is adequately prepared to feed a hungry visitor. Don't splash... More

Unfortunately we had unpleasant experience. the place was dirty, dark and very slow service as there was a group there by the time we came. the food was not testy, (ordered 3 different dishes) we ordered well-done steak - it was like gum, and impossible to eat. price is average + .

The place looks deceivingly simple if somewhat overdecorated and if one understands Israeli restaurants, this is by no means a bad sign. We were a party of six with loads of experience of the various kinds of cuisine available in Israel. We started out with asking for a spread of salads as well as two plates of hummous and were... Great delicious home cooked meal...We had nowhere to eat most of the trip and were saved by Sami and his staff...If there was a restaurant like this in the north of Israel many savtot would be out of business!!
