Pretty standard teppanyaki fare. Checked all the boxes, we had a good night. We had the Sapporo menu.
One comment, comon you guys can afford some decent chopsticks instead of disposable ones lol. It’s like going to a nice wine and dine dinner place and eating with plastic cutlery :p

This was the second time I visited.
The sushi was great and the Teppanyaki very tasty and well prepared. Plus I found the staff very helpful in answering questions. There is an ala carte menu as well as a full dinner menu. The portions are large so consider sharing. If you are a party of three two dinners may suffice.
It is excellent for children based on the choices available.
For me, it was expensive but of value since all the dishes were excellent.

Had dinner here on a Saturday evening on the teppanyaki plate. We had the first shift at 5:30 PM, the restaurant was completely full and there was a nice atmosphere. Service was very good, but we still had the feeling that we were occasionally forgotten as we were sitting in the far left corner.
We chose the sapporo menu twice and a children's menu. We got sushi beforehand and the quality was excellent, just like all the other dishes we got, great! The cook spoke Dutch but nothing was said about the dishes, there was no interaction with the cook except for a few words. It would be an addition if the chef could tell something about the dishes.
We sat with 7 other people around the plate and that was fun, but of course you have to be a bit lucky as you are placed with other people.
Price quality? Well, you can argue about that, 108 euros for a menu is a lot of money and we didn't even have wagyu meat. That menu costs 180 euros 😉
For dessert we chose Sapporo Ice, a pancake with a scoop of ice cream and flambéed, together with some fresh fruit for 16 euros per person.
Fantastic food and an experience richer!!
Highly recommended!

I was absolutely delighted with my visit to the Teppanyaki sushi restaurant in Amsterdam. I can only give five stars to this extraordinary gastronomic experience.
Let's start with the sushi: every bite was a real explosion of fresh and authentic flavors. The ingredients were of the highest quality and the presentation was a real sight to behold. The variety of fish and seafood on offer was simply stunning, and I really appreciated the creativity and originality of the flavor combinations.
The staff deserves special praise. They were incredibly attentive and courteous, always ready to satisfy our every request. Their in-depth knowledge of the dishes and ability to recommend perfect pairings demonstrated an extraordinary level of professionalism.
But what really made this experience unique was the Teppanyaki show. The Teppanyaki master demonstrated incredible mastery in the art of preparing the dishes in front of our eyes. His skill in wielding knives and creating spectacular dishes was a sight to behold. His interaction with the guests added a touch of fun and made us feel like we were part of a real culinary performance.
In short, this visit to the Teppanyaki sushi restaurant in Amsterdam was an experience that will remain etched in my memory for a long time. I highly recommend all sushi lovers to try this hidden gem and enjoy an unforgettable culinary evening. Five stars deserved without a shadow of a doubt!

My girlfriend and I booked a table online. Right after we booked they texted us, and said we needed to arrive over 1 hour later, if we wanted to sit at the teppanyaki table and we accepted. When we arrived, they put us at an table in the corner without the “teppanyaki show”. We showed the messages to the staff, but they would not move us. Therefore we left immediatly.
I can not recommend this place to anyone - horrible treatment from staff

A group of 9 of us had dinner here Saturday night and it was the highlight of our trip to Amsterdam. Food was outstanding and the service was top class. We were all blown away with the whole experience. It will be the first thing we will book on our next trip back

Nice dinner with good sushis. The restaurant doesn’t have many tables outside the teppanyaki sitting arrangement. In case you just want a table this will be a squeeze. But altogether a nice dinner with good service. Will go back

Wow! What an evening, again. Was certainly not our first time, but tonight once again exceeded all our high expectations. Fresh, perfectly prepared, beautiful ingredients, casual atmosphere, committed people, good wine. A party!

Occasion was to celebrate a milestone with the family. A disappointing outing for us. The experience felt rushed. The typical 2.5 hr schedule was squeezed to 1.5 hr. Multiple courses (3) served together. Tight seating, not enough space. A second visit from us is unlikely.

Worst restaurant in Amsterdam, food quality was very bad, service not good, not value for money. Waitress not willing to add hot water to a cup of tea which cost Eur 3.5. Don’t understand why it has 4.5 ratings in Trip Advisor.

15 years ago we had eaten here before. Good memories, so tried again. In retrospect, not a good idea - we were just disappointed.... The place is crowded with large teppanyaki tables, where guests are passed through like tourist cattle. The price of the chosen menus - 96.50 euros and 88.50 euros - is actually already in the direction of Michelin star, but the quality delivered is well below Bib Gourmand level. In addition, the décor is not right: for example, there are paper napkins instead of cotton/linen ones, simple disposable chopsticks, the menu is just a printed A4 sheet, the sanitary facilities are what you might expect in a pub, but not in an upscale restaurant, etc.
The food wasn't bad at all, but it wasn't anything special either. Since the teppanyaki platter has to be shared with several groups, serving the dishes is a bit chaotic. The zucchini with mushrooms are prepared in one go, but the food is not becoming any better on the plates of the guests with a fish menu, because the meat dish of another group is prepared first.
Different dishes such as meat, chicken, eggs and fish are prepared on one plate. This plate and the cooking utensils are not thoroughly cleaned in between, so I cannot rule out "cross contamination" ....
Considering the staff, the Chinese decoration and the food served, it looks more like a better Chinese restaurant than a Japanese one.
All in all, Sapporo has a lot of homework to do before this restaurant becomes worthwhile again!
Conclusion: Rip Off - NO GO

Visited here on a business trip and it was really good, the Sushi starter was excellent.
The teppanyaki grill was also good, probably more about the food than the show compared to benihana but worth visiting!

The chef does incredible tricks and grills your food in front of you, it is beautiful. I recommend the Akasaka set teppanyaki menu with duck, lamb ribs and beef fillet made in front of you on the ‘plancha’. The food is fantastic and well seasoned, very good value for money. Would 100% come again it was amazing.
