With the TripAdvisor Sticker on the front door I expected my dinner is going to be great. But no it wasn't. I ordered a Roasted Duck with Rice and steam beef but turn out the Roasted duck was cold as they putted it in the fridge and the beef was not as good as it suppose to be. The amount... More

Decent enough taste. Just a place you can pop in for a bite if you have a sudden hankering for momos. Do not expect anything more.

This place is a scam. With a Tripadvisor sticker on the window they foul lots of tourists, included us. This is the worse dim sum ever. Old lady serving and old man in the kitchen. We hoped that meant traditional and authentic chinese food. Sadly it turned out to be worse than frozen supermarket dim sums. Lessons learned: check on... More

After hours of searching for somewhere for me and my friends to grab some lunch (fussy bunch) we came across this place. It doesn't look like much but we thought we'd give it ago. I ordered a few dim sum dishes, Gyoza and chicken wings. I think it was 12 euros all in all (not bad at all). I can... More

What can you expect from a restaurant where you can eat as much as you like within one hour for a laughable 8 euro's? For that kind of money you barely get a decent meal at McDonald's and given the choice between Dim Sum or cardboard hormone-infused American garbage I'd much rather eat Chinese food.

Food seem not fresh. Quick serving dishes, why? There is an old man and to be honest, he is rude. I would not recommend this place. Cheap but awful

The food itself was flavourless and the portions were not enough to fill us up. Would not recommend this establishment regardless of the cheaper prices compared to other places nearby.

Look, any place that you pay a flat fee for all you can eat "dim sum" (quotation marks indicative of dubious provenance and quality in this case) in Amsterdam, you have to be a little leery of. I had moved from Shanghai a few months previous, which is a place where the cheap street food is legendary, and so I... More

The food was okay for the price, nothing too special but the prices are pretty low as well so that was no big deal. The interior is not ideal; not very cozy and just one big table in the middle. Then we got to the paying part; the man works there (Maybe the owner?) gave us the receipt of the... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
