I was here to celebrate my boyfriend’s birthday. With the current covid situation the restaurant had put some some decent measures which includes satinizing your hands before entering the restaurant and they also Implemented the light signals for the toilet so you know when it is available and there is no line of people waiting for the restroom. Food served was great, the aubergine nanban was our favorite and the sushi bento served a mixed variety of sushi and maki which we really enjoyed. The background music and the crowd in the restaurant was lively, the neon lighting really add to the cool vibe. We ended our dinner with a surprise order of cheesecake and was also offered a shot of yuzu sake! We had a fantastic night, would highly recommend! The one slight complain is the small size of the table but I guess you can slow down the order and enjoy the vibe!

After I passed this restaurnt without reservation (so no place available) I booked for an evening, 2h were so offered to me...
And so began this wonderful evening... A very warmly and friendly welcome by a team which breath together, you can feel the good ambiance between kitchen, barmans and waiters, and it's really nice and pleasant to dine in such atmosphere ! Everyone was nice and gave nice explanations for each meal, knowing thier products and meals.
The food was so really delightful, I usually take salmon as a sure value and try other things to discover new falvors, well, the Hamachi nigiri with topping was just incredible ! And a special mention for the new orange cocktail whisch I was offered to try :p And so a heartly thanks to the barmans ! Actually to everyone in this restaurant, as I said, a pleasant atmosphere !
I so took salmon and Hamachi nigiri, both really good, and salmon and white fish makis, also tasty and flavored, a really delightful meal for a my last night in Amsterdam. I don't know when I'll come back to Amsterdam, but when I'll do I'll come back to this place, I deeply recommend it to people who likes such kind of food !!!

We came here expecting great sushi as its top rated on trip advisor. We were so damn disappointed.
Bad service, even though the place wasn't full when we arrived. Nobody comes by to ask if you want anything else to drink or how the food is.
Waiter misunderstood our order, twice. You're paying nearly 100 euro for 30 pieces. This is ridiculous where we come from, and it doesn't even fill you up with how small the maki rolls were. We went for pizza after.
Dont come here for sushi, save your money for when you go someplace that knows what sushi is. The only place I really regret going to in Amsterdam.

Visited on an engagement anniversary, as 3 years ago we discovered this amazing place revelling in our happy moment.
This visit was just as memorable! We sat at the bar (in our opinion the best seats of the house) and chatted and laughed with our lovely barman all night, drank his tasty cocktails and were fed the most delicious Japanese dishes.
Our personal recommendations are Cocktails: the Lychee cocktail and the White Russians (creamy generous and delicious), Food: The Bento meal - with fresh Irish oysters, tempura, Nigiri amongst other delights, and for things we didn’t try but looked equally spectacular: the burgers in Bao type buns and the salmon Nigiri (seared by blowtorch as they bring it to you!).
Honestly can say we enjoyed as much, if not more this time and Hero and his excellent team were spot on. Winning at life if you go here.

Hands down the best sushi in Amsterdam! The quality of the fish is amazing, and the atmosphere of the place is great as well. Service is fantastic and our waiter even took the time to explain what our dishes were and consisted of in further detail. Already planning my next visit to this place!

Very good restaurant with quality food and great service. The employees know their kitchen and drinks well so that they can give good recommendations.
We will definitely visit this place again and would recommend this to everyone who visits Amsterdam.

This restaurant is really tiny (the tables also what can become a problem with big orders of sushi), but the quality of the food is outstandig. The cocktails are also tasty. The service could be a little bit more attentive. Otherwise: a clear recommendation for this interesteng little bar and kitchen.

This was honestly the best japanese food I’ve had in Amsterdam and the staff were super friendly and multicultural. The miso ribeye and miso ice cream are to die for and the quality of the fish - and overall food - was suberb. Thank you to everyone working there for the wonderful experience!

The restaurant itself is very cool, in a cool setting with a calm atmosphere. We ordered the sticks and sushi for two. This is a perfect dish. The price is great and the amount of food you get plus the quality of it is outstanding. In the sticks and sushi for €55 you get: 6 pieces of sashimi, enough edamame to open your own edamame shop, two wagyu skewers, two prawn skewers, two chicken skewers, 16 pieces of maki, a small bowl of seaweed and then a small bowl of some aubergine thing. We were stuffed at the end of it. Highly would recommend eating here if you get the chance. Very good service, food and price. The perfect trio.

We ate here last night & it was by a country mile the best food we had during our stay .This restaurant has a lovely atmosphere & ambiance . On the evening we were there Hiro was seamlessly quarter backing service with absolute charm and he couldn’t have done anymore to explain the menu , make suggestions and ensure that we had an amazing experience . The edamame with spiced salt , gyoza , mame mame beans , eryngii shio koji were fabulous , All my vegetarian options were beautifully presented & utterly delicious & my other half raved about his melt in the mouth pork . This restaurant has a buzzing vibe , with great but not invasive music . The two guys working the bar were kept busy all night, the cocktail list was creative & brilliantly executed we tried 4 & not one disappointed us . All the staff were lovely , super friendly & knowledgeable- on the night Hiro was my hero , thanks so much for giving us such an enjoyable experience we loved your place . For anyone reading this - don’t hesitate , get your table booked & enjoy xx

If you are in Amsterdam you MUST go. The atmosphere is super chilled and cozy, but the food is all made to perfection. My favourite was the salmon sushi rolls, but we also had the teriyaki skewers and Yuzu cod which were equally as good. I have been to restaurants where you pay double or triple the price and the sushi is nowhere near as good as Ku - yes, even Zuma or NOBU in my opinion. The staff also need a mention - We only planned to stay for dinner, but we ended up staying until it closed because all the staff are so friendly and accommodating.

Despite the fact that I made an idiotic mistake with our booking (I accidentally booked for 2 instead of 5) and only realised the day before when I reconfirmed, the restaurant could not have been more helpful and managed to squeeze us in anyway. My Kitchen is incredibly popular so booking is essential. Service was friendly and efficient and the menu offered plenty of choice. Everything we ate was superb - really fresh fish and beautifully presented. For the quality of food on offer it was excellent value. 5 of us ate our full of sushi and tempura with a bottle of sake for €250.

In a very nice street this great restaurant is for all kind of occasions and I saw people from all ages having diner at the tables or at the cosy bar. The food is really delicious and we didn't have to wait too long even though it was quite busy. The staff was so polite and friendly. Lovely ambiance!
