Surrounded by $5 pizza/pasta joints, we found by chance this little gem. Everything is fresh from the market, the recipes are simple and authentic, and simply delicious. Sylvaine, the owner, is also the chef to insure everything is perfect. We'll be back!

After being harassed by the restaurant touts to eat at their €5 Italian restaurants I was rapidly losing faith of finding somewhere decent to have dinner with my girlfriend. Then, as we turned the corner, we spotted this little hidden gem. Not flashing with neon signs & with no touts outside to usher you in like cattle, if you walk... More

Many thanks for this wonderful review, dear Paul. We were pleased to have the two of You as our precious guests. I remember You personally, having been Your assistant for the whole evening. It is even better than ever to read this kind message of yours, knowing that we were precisely at the beginning of our ride in the restaurant.... More

You will be greated by Pino, owner of Pino Divina, aka Little Italy. He and his chef prepared meals to our liking. We simply told him the ingredients that we enjoy eating and vioa... out came a three course meal!!!! Lovely wine and tiramisu to die for! This was THE BEST Tiramisu EVER! The year prior I had tiramisu at... More

The owner does a real hard sell and is literally ‘all over you’. The menus are written on portable boards allegedly‘because all the food is freshly cooked so we cannot have printed menus’. The wines on the board range from 40 to 100 euros a bottle. There is no mention of a house wine until one asks. Luckily I asked... More

Dear George, I'm pleased to inform you that since March 2015 the restaurant you reviewed has changed name, concept and management. The restaurant now is called Davvero (in English "for Real") and it offers an authentic Italian menu, updated to the last trends in our style and also open to international contaminations, vegetarian and vegan friendly, making large use of... This is a small restaurant in the centre of Amsterdam, in the pedestrianized area where there are loads of restaurants of all price ranges. This one was expensive but the food was very good as indeed was the service. It is a family business and gives more the impression of a cafe than a restaurant. Nice atmosphere.

We were attracted to this restaurant by the impression tney were serving authentic, fresh Italian food. The menu was extensive if not a little over complicated in its layout. We were advised that our food wouldn't appear immediately as everything was cooked fresh - emphasising that nothing was frozen and tney only did the 'best' . Wine and water was... More

Dear Molly82, we are truly sorry to read this very bad review. The restaurant changed name, concept and management since March 2015 and we are totally not responsible for what happened more than one year ago. Nevertheless we would like to invite you at our new Italian experience her in Amsterdam. The name of the restaurant now is Davvero, we... More

In a city like Amsterdam where high quality dining is a real challenge, Pino Divino is a real gem :) The restaurant is conveniently located in Leidsekruisstraat, just a few minutes away from Leidseplein. From the moment you step in, the ambience is traditionally Italian with a homey feel. The service is impeccable, but the real treat is the authentic... More

Good food, very nice but little busy owner, moody but alert service. If looking for a restaurant in the neighbourhood a good choice.

We had never been to Amsterdam and it was our first night in. It was a Thursday. We dropped off our bags and hit the streets. We found the high tourist areas immediately and knew we didn't want to eat there for dinner if we could avoid it. We are side street walkers to try to at least a bit... More
