I dined here twice, once eight years ago and again February 2017. The food is still excellent. We had a Malaysian rice table. The satay kambing (lamb skewers in a sweet, dark sauce of kecap manis and gula djawa) is probably my favourite dish, though really all the dishes are very delicious.

An old gentlemen (probably owner?) was very friendly and provided excellent service. Food was nicely presented and very cosy place. I'm glad I found it.

I was there 1 time before with an Indonesian friend. Food was very good, the owner is also very friendly and talkative. Nice place to eat, you can say if you dont eat beef or pork, they can change it for something else. Last time i was there with my Balinese girlfriend, she felt like home. Food like her mother... I went here with my father because he was really going for some indonesian food. We were not dissappointed. The food was well prepared and tasted good. The service was excellent. The owners, I assume they were, were very friendly. We had the rice table and tasted some of everything. I can't say there was anything out of tune. Of... More

Having lived in Australia for over a year, Laksa became one of my favorite dishes. I must say that although Amsterdam is quite international, good Malaysian & Singaporean food is rare. I have tried different places in Amsterdam however I never really felt I found the authentic Laksa flavour! Finding this place has brought me great memories of my time... More

A real no-go in my opinion. We ordered the "cheapest" `rijstafel´ of the menu (21€ per person which isn´t really cheap, right?) and got quite a lot of bowls- unfortunately with not so many different dishes: The prawn crackers were the same the restaurant served as appetizers and three bowls with just a very little difference: Vegetables with peanut sauce... You may walk past and think this place looks a bit boring and dated, but don't let appearances fool you! The food is superb. Way off the beaten track for tourists, but really worth it. This is a nice neighbourhood so you could also consider staying in a hotel nearby. Give this authentic Indonesian neighbourhood joint a try!

This is an actual non-touristy Indonesian/Malaysian restaurant in Amsterdam. Both the staff and the prices are friendly. It's not so busy that it's okay if you just go without a reservation. The only inconvenience to tourists may be its location. It's close to downtown. Can be reached by one of the trams.

A nice restaurant away from the hustle of the city. There were not many dinners when we went there, but it still took a while for the food to come out. We had a few separate vegetarian dishes. Be warned that the vegetarian options on the menu are limited. We asked if we could have some dishes with tofu, but... More

amsterdam has many indonasian restaurants, this one is little but out of city centre. but thats actually is nice, coz it gives the place a calm romantic atmosphere outside the hustle & bustle of the city. The decor of the place is great. The menu is ok, but the range could be wider. Well when u eat indonasian u have... More
