Proper Chinese food! We tried 11 types of dim sum and they all were a piece of art! Amazing! Nothing to do with what the Chinese food they serve in Spain! I suggest oriental city to open a restaurant in Ibiza!!!!

Don't be fooled by new hipster places like Dim Sum Now, those are crap in comparison to the beauties that they serve here. After my first visit I have been taken everybody who visits me in Amsterdam here for a Dim Sum lunch. Even people who are normally not into exotic meals loved it. Best place in Amsterdam for Dim... We came here on our first evening as our friends had eaten here previously. The food was delicious and we had a window seat with lovely views of the canal and the cute canal houses

The service was good and friendly. However the portion size was large but lacked taste which was bland and overpriced for what was served up.

Whenever I am back 'home' visiting friends we always meet up for dim sum lunch here. Really great food and very good value for money. TIP - make a reservation for noon as the queue gets very long - mainly with chinese locals

Very nice food and friendly service. Very busy which is always a good sign. Went for a friend's birthday and the staff put a candle in her dessert which was a nice touch. Wine was pretty good value also.

Came in here while walking around the city, it was quite busy. Service was good. The menu was slightly different to Ines we have in the U.K. So wasn't to sure what to order. In the end I had vegetable noodles and my husband had a rice dish which tasted and looked like the uk style special fried rice! Massive... More

I've only started eating Dim Sum in the last few years, starting with Chicago, Hong Kong, Paris, Rome, Toronto, and a other places in USA and now Amsterdam, I will have to say the place was packed with a 15 min wait! However, once seated things moved fast and fresh! Service and quality is up there! If this is your... More

I was pushed to find a good authentic dish. The menu was a mismatch of several Chinese cuisines and although the food was ok, I wouldn't say that it was any better than average. The portion size was large (which will be good news to those that want to get their monies worth) but for me it's about quality and... More

Staying in Red Light District (De Wallen)

Neighbourhood Profile
Red Light District (De Wallen)
To visit Amsterdam and not explore De Wallen (the Dutch name for this area) or to go only to gawk at its saucier aspects would mean missing the opportunity to view some of the city’s most picturesque canals, historic landmarks, and impeccably presented examples of traditional local architecture – not to mention Amsterdam’s own Chinatown, Europe’s largest Buddhist temple and more local treasures. Sure, there are some less salubrious activities drawing the curious to this age-old part of time. Nevertheless, the Red Light District is still a very safe and incredibly fascinating area where at the turn of a corner you can be transported from the dingy glow of modern day neon red to a glorious 16th century Delft blue dreamscape.
