We found this restaurant on the Happy Cow app and were very pleased! The servers were very friendly and helpful. I had the vegan lasagna and my husband had the pesto tagliatelle. I am not vegan but the lasagna was a very satisfying blend of...More

My hubby and I decided to go back to Assaggi for another authentic Italian meal. The food, the wine, the atmosphere was absolutely perfect. You have to try the chocolate cake! Thank you for making our evening special :)

We had a very nice lunch break at Assaggi. It is always nice there! This time in brought some coworkers with me, and we shared some pizzas. The owner offered us a limoncello home made! Very good!

Been searching for a perfect Italian ‘local’ in Amsterdam, Jordaan district? Look no further. We arrived early on a midweek evening and were warmly welcomed. The atmosphere was relaxed and un-pressured. We had booked a ‘restaurant week’ menu deal and that meant a seemingly endless...More

What a treasure! Waived in off the street, we were happily greeted by the owner. He promptly served us bread and balsamic vinegar and olive oil. It was delightful! He suggested a wine and hearts of palm salad to start. We were very pleased with...More

Assaggi is a delightful little Italian restaurant tucked away on a quiet street in Amsterdam's Jordaan district. We visited for supper on a week night, and the place was very busy, which is always a good sign. The service here was extremely personable and attentive,...More

Assaggi is very understated and seriously exceeds the initial impression. We went with a teen who wanted pizza and ended up with some of the best, freshest, home cooked food imaginable. The staff were charming - and their passion for their food was infectious; the...More

Found the restaurant wandering around the Jordan. Two couples each shared goat salads, pizzas and a bottle of wine for lunch. All were excellent and reasonably priced. Service was very good. We all enjoyed this restaurant very much.

My friend and I had dinner here and enjoyed not only a lovely meal but also the friendly service. What struck me most was the sense of authenticity this place embodies, especially shown through the italian speaking staff and the way they made us feel....More

One of Amsterdam’s most preferred outdoor markets and
some of the city’s favorite watering holes are but two
of the many reasons to save ample time for a stroll
through this especially convivial warren of narrow
streets with its unfair share of quirky shops and
quality galleries. Historically a haven for the
working class and emigrants, these days the Jordaan is
better known as an enclave for artists and designers.
