The food was fairly good here but the service was very relaxed (and not in a good way). We had been seated for 10 minutes and had not been offered a food menu. No shortage of staff; I would guess that they are overstaffed but...not very effective or dynamic.More

Our welcome was not that warm. We arrived 10 minutes before our reservation and were told to "go for a walk" ("rondje lopen") and come back later. There is no place to wait inside the restaurant, it is a crowed place. We waited outside and...came back at the reserved time. This place is so full of tables, extremely noisy, not cozy at all - it is chaotic. We set there for while, ordered our drinks and after a long wait, no drinks neither menu. We got the menu ourselves and a very friendly waitress told us that there has been a problem in their system and our drinks would come eventually. After we were able to order - which took a while again - we didn't have to wait that long for the food, which is average. If they remove a few tables and have a better control of their bookings, this place might improve. There are many nice restaurants on the same street, why bother to go to this place?More

After visiting the museum, being all over the town, we decided to have dinner first before leaving the country. We saw the name of this restaurant and thought how funny that name was :-),we decided to have dinner there. The tall, blondish /reddish man (Guus,I...think his name was) -invited us in and we could freely choose where to sit! The staff was young, polite and friendly. The place was cozy and romantic, and has some hidden rooms (a large number of people had made reservations and I wonder where all these people were going to sit, but the place is really big). The food, the drinks and desserts were great. You will certainly see us again.More

Last night, we had a cosy dinner here. The lactose free options were perfectly in order and the staff were very efficient and courteous.

I have walked past ome Bernard a couple off times and always thought it looked very cozy with the dimmed lights, the different rooms and it's old fashioned yet fitting decor. Once we stepped inside this feeling of coziness was multiplied. To me the restaurant...felt a bit like a stylish version of a English countryside tavern. The menu offers mostly the basics; the dishes you expect to find in most restaurants. There is a deal for a three course menu for a little over 30 euros but you can also stick to one or two courses. Main courses cost around 18 euros. The menu is quite varied concerning types of dishes (pasta / stew / burger / fish etc) but doesn't offer that many options. On a more positive note, I think they switch our the dishes regularly. I definitely enjoyed my food, but the taste didn't stand out to me in comparison to other restaurants. Overall I had a positive experience so I would like to go back sometime to try something else of the menu.More

We came here on a Friday night and the food and service was excellent. We had the 33Euro deal, which was three courses of our choice.

After hearing SO much good things about this restaurant finally made may way into it. What a disappointment. The food is perfectly fine but nothing I couldn't have done better at home and for these prices I am expecting it to be better than home...cooking. Ordered the Boef Bourguignon and well it had nothing to do it whatsoever. Plus it was served with red cabbage. I would very much like to find a french who would be ok with such a paring..More

The food is great! Value for the money is really interesting. The crews are really attentive and serving well as they explain everything on the menu while giving suggestions to suit different dining preferences. Noise level is really quiet, a good choice for couple and...lovers. Waiting time is fast, regardless of the number of guests. Setting is quite impressive.Den Bosch is really a great city because of this.More

One of my favorite restaurants in ‘s-Hertogenbosch. The menu offers a variety of great dishes, from typical Dutch food to a special Japanese sashimi dish. I’ve visited this place twice, and would recommand to anyone who’s looking for a good place to eat in the...old cente of the city. It’s very popular and would recommand to make a reservation to make sure they have room.More

Ome Bernard is a very pleasant restaurant right in the heart of Den Bosch. It is what de Dutch would call gezellig, cosy. It comes with several smaller rooms, so you don't get that crowded feeling. Food here is well prepared and service is good....From the restaurant It is only a small distance to almost all attractions of the city.More

Food is acceptabel good. Staff is acceptable nice. Location is acceptable good. They have no terrace. Inside there are a bit too many tables to my liking. The concept should have been creative instead of commercial. Staff walks around with oversized logo of the brewery....You can eat here without any risk, there are better options in town but also worse.More

In this nice street with several restaurants we went to Ome Bernard with some friends, for an early dinner. It was 5pm, but the place was already very busy. There wasn't much of a welcome and the waitress seemed to be preoccupied. She rattled of...the specialities of the day and was very curt. The drinks and food arrived promptly. And it all tasted very well. So no complaints there. For the food, i might go back. Hopefully the staff may be more relaxed, next time.More

Amazing decor. Extremely friendly staff. Absolutely delicious food. Unsure of price, as someone in our group paid!!! (I imagine it wasn't cheap as the food and service were amazing!)

Very mixed feelings! The taste of the intro and the main course was very good. Unfortunately, there was nothing to eat the delicious sauce that went with the shrimps. A few pieces of bread would have done the trick. The waitress to which I told...and suggested this, didn't react at all. The main course (Heilbot) was served in a deep plate, leaving watery fish juices in the middle. How am I supposed toe eat my fried potato and salad on this plate without it getting soaked???? Not a very smart choice of plate mister cook! The desert was a disaster, I had a nougatine cake, which was more butter then cake, awful. Also the cream which came with the cake was beaten to death! My belly complained for two whole days. My partner had chosen the IJSTRUFFEL “ JEROEN BOSCH” This Ijstruffel came with red berries. Obvious these berries were soaked in vinegar! Uneatable and disgusting. When we asked about this, we were told this was normal! We suggest that they should force the chef to eat these berries everyday till he admits he was wrong and start using balsamico vinegar instead. Too bad for these mistakes. The intro and main course were very tasty, but never take a desert. Opt for coffee instead.More
