I’ve always wanted to go to this restaurant because it’s so historical, and because I wanted to see all the original art on the walls!
I didn’t realize how fancy it would be, so I was embarrassed to be dressed in leggings and a tee...shirt, but the staff made me feel so welcome. I was only ordering dessert and wine, and also felt embarrassed that I didn’t have more money to spend on more. I apologized for taking up a table just for dessert and wine, which I could have probably had at the bar, but was just dying to eat in that beautiful restaurant! They were so kind and assured me it was perfectly fine to order anything I liked.
The waiter recommended a wonderful Italian merlot, and the chocolate mousse with profiteroles. The dessert and wine together were a decadent, delicious combination.
I definitely enjoyed this place and was completely enamored with the ambiance, the walls, the class and formality. I felt like I was in a different time period, surrounded by amazing art and very kind people.More
