Great food, great service in a very traditional feeling setting. Best to book ahead as we spent 20 minutes in line trying to get a table at around 8:30pm!

We didn't have a reservation but stopped by anyway. We were turned away by the greeter at the front door, so we tried the back entrance. After some small talk, we were given a table, but on the condition that we would give the table up for the "existing reservation" at 8:00 (50 minutes away). We quickly agreed and were... More

This place is known for its Swiss specialties and beer. The setting is in an old building which once served as an armory for hundreds of years. A must do in Zurich, either for dinner or for lunch.

This is absolutely the place for authentic Swiss and German food. Try the beef broth soup with crepes !! Great selection of sausages and veal. Weiner schnitzel, (35.00 CHF), was the best we had in Zurich! Colleagues had the meat on the sword which was outstanding ! Beer selection is good and its a great place to meet people as... More

Great place to eat traditional local food and drink regional beers. It gets pretty busy but tables get turned around quickly and so the wait is never too long.

What a great place - steak on swords and flaming beers a must. Staff are fantastic. Only grumble was it closes too early! (11pm)

Really good food, best in Zurich! The tortellini was especially delicious. I would go back when in Zurich.

First restaurant in Switzerland and it didn't disappoint. Close to the main shopping Street, really friendly service and great food. We had the tortellini and spicy pork sausage, would definitely recommend the tortellini and the sausage was also pretty good. We came around 2pm and it was fairly busy but no trouble in finding a table.

This restaurant is a bit like a local diner would be in the US. The portions are large, and the staff are friendly, at least by Swiss standards. To be clear, however, the food is not gourmet, but for the most part it is well done.
