I had hesitated to come here on previous occasions as experience had taught me that venues with the best views are usually not very good. Sadly this is true here too. The rosti looked of the mass produced type out of a freezer bag. My friend had hers with an very overcooked fried egg on top. The menu amused me... More

Without repeating what has already been written in previous posts, we felt that our recent lunch at Plein Roc was a very memorable experience. While the food was of a very good standard, what makes this place stand out is the ambiance. The restaurant itself is nestled underneath a rock cliff with wooden beams, decor, and furniture adorning the establishment.... More

Sitting 'in the mountain' looking out over the take is an amazing experience. This restaurant carved out of the rocks and accessed by a tunnel is well worth the trip. Food was of a good standard, excellent service.

~the tram trip up is superb, travelling clog gears up this steep incline a mechanical marvel. The view going right past the clouds AMAZING. ~there were some harrowing moments as we didn't know exactly what to expect but it's absolutely safe and extremely cold even on a bright sunny day the cloud can gather unexpectedly fast ~the walk tunneled thru... Although the food was excellent (we visited for lunch), the real reason to visit this restaurant is the views. You enter the restaurant through a short tunnel carved in the rock of the mountain and enter the restaurant, which is actually inside the mountain. There is a huge "bay window" area through which the entirety of norther Lake Geneva (Lac... More

We visited the Rochers-de-Naye and wanted to enjoy the dramatic settings of their "Plein Roc" restaurant with some food. The food presentation was OK but way to expensive for the food quality. The service was also OK, but you could feel that the lady did not have a lot of experience. This restaurant would have so much potential if the... More

After arriving to Roches-de-Naye, we decided immediately head to the restaurant for a lunbch. Luckily we were one of the first, as most of the tables were already booked and the staff was in disorganized chaos, trying to field the "older" traveler's who didn't seem to understand that the staff wasn't going to serve them, instead leaving the tables empty...
