We set out for another restaurant with a higher tripadvisor rating, but it was closed on Monday, and the taxi driver recommended Le Museum. It turned out to be ideal. Contrary to a previous reviewer, we found the racklette meal tasty and filling and ordering the local wine by the "pot" brought down the price. The atmosphere was,as others have... More

We went to Montreux for one day and decided to have a good dinner. Since we were familiar with Fondue, another dish was under consideration: Raclette. What a disappointment . For more than 60 francs you will get several slices of cheese, pickles and a small bowl of potatoes. This is the restaurant's version of a famous French dish. The... More

The food was excellent, the atmosphere was excellent. When we first walked in the door we were overwhelmed by the pungent odor of what we presumed was the cheese. The potatoes gratin had seven types of cheese and was fantastic. The steak was tender and juicy and the fondue was everything you could want. I would recommend this restaurant to... More

We booked by email whilst we were in Montreux. It was a terrible rainy evening and we weren't sure they had received the booking as we got no confirmation but we decided to chance it anyway. They had got our booking and we had a reserved table. We were met by the lovely waitress who put up with our terrible... More

We found this restaurant on Tripadvisor and the good reviews coupled with the picture showing the charbonnade (basically a table BBQ) made us make a reservation. The resto is so lovely inside, very cosy with a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff extended the welcome – they were extremely friendly and smiley. We couldn’t resist ordering the beef charbonnade and... More

Recommended by hotel staff, I had cheese fondue while my wife had a steak with potatoes gratin dish. They were the best meals we had during our short trip to CH. The staff were excellent and the price was mid-range - well worth it since the food was out of this world! The decor is that of a very quaint... More

This restaurant was a little more upscale than the other one that we tried that served the traditional Swiss dishes. We liked it very much but thought the other was a little more rustic and fun. (Caveau des Vignerons) Really they both very very good. A salad with bree cheese stands out in my memory (6 months later) and wonderful... More

We did the beef grilled over charcoal, wonderful! As stated before, the potatoe gratin is delicious. Staff was wonderful, go with their wine recommendations!

The place is a little small and not that easy to find, but worth the adventure. The decor makes you feel like you went back in time. The service was fantastic. We didn't know how to order or the proper procedure. The waitress was extremely patient with us and explained everything. We gained 100 pounds because we couldn't stop eating... More

My wife and I (on our honeymoon) arrived at 10pm on a Saturday, very excited about eating here and was denied a table; we were told they were closing for the night. There were clearly many patrons in the middle of their meal and their website said open till midnight. Very disappointed at being turned away. I am Filipino Canadian... More

Description
The Museum is situated in a historical building in the old town of Montreux and it is less than 10 minutes walking distance from the main train station.

Founded in the early years of the worldwide known Montreux Jazz Festival The Museum has been the place to be for many internationally known stars like Mick Jagger and David Bowie to name but a few.

The setting is traditionally Swiss with an authentic atmosphere. In summer a peaceful court invites families and friends to enjoy a meal in a relaxing environment.

The Museum accepts groups of up to 150 people and it is the ideal place for family or company events, but it is also a romantic place if you'd like to spend a privileged moment with your loved one.

The Museum honours the Swiss cuisine with many different cheese and meat fondues of the highest quality. You could also try their famous' Charbonnade', a charcoal grill on which you grill your meat according to your own taste! Most of the menus are served with the outstanding potato gratin made with chef's secret ingredients (this includes 10 different Swiss cheeses).

We look forwards to welcome you soon !
