went to the room upstairs which is IMHO somewhat nicer than the one downstairs. Both service and food were good. Price OK considering the location.

The place was packed. We arrived late but fortunately were able to be seated. Make a reservation and don't be late. We came for the fondue and boy was it tasty. We started with the charcuterie with cheese, then the fondue (came with bread and a bag of small potatoes) and finished with profiteroles. Beer. Yummy! Lots of locals. Place... More

Locals told me that this is THE place of choice for a Cheese Fondue. We came here in a group and enjoyed thoroughly! Even people who chose something else enjoyed their meals. Very nice evening. Just be aware that your clothes will smell of cheese for a few days

Had a great fondu and other traditional dishes looked nice as well. Service was friendly and efficient. And I agree with them for turning away people that are late for a reservation....it's a business and they are losing business when their tables are empty. My only drawback was that it's very loud inside so hard to carry on a conversation... More

Not much to say as I didn't taste it at all. I booked for 8h30. It took me a bit longer to find a parking place so I arrived at 8h45. The owner says to me he gave my table away because of the delay and precised people have to call if they are not on time. Well, if I... More

After reading the reviews we set off without a reservation. the host was a little hesitant but as we were early diners and not looking for a late night he welcomed us. After that small hesitancy the night just got better and better. We simply told the owner that we were new to Fondue so we would be happy for... More

Found this lovely Cafe by accident when we were walking around in Lausanne. We wanted to eat local specialties and had cheese fondues with local wine at this Cafe. The food was delicious, and so was the service. The atmosphere can be described as quaint and reminiscent of a small French restaurant. We loved it.

I have been a regular since I was a kid (I don't tell you what year that was!). This is a must in Lausanne: old wooden walls, 19th-century bistrot ambiance, and 90% of it is genuine. Traditional, no-nonsense brasserie food: check out the Schnitzel, fondue and roasted sausage. But above all you'll be conquered by Willi's and Heike's warm welcome.
