This place was highly recommended, but we were a bit uncertain when we arrived, a shed at the end of the carpark for the gondola, little lighting and uneven steps. We arrived with a booking, but the restaurant was already full and very noisy with people waiting. The owner kept us assured that everything would be OK; and it was.... More

We went with friends who go regularly & know Max and his wife, it is probably not a place you want to study in daylight but for a fun night out it is first class. A workmens hut that was brought down the mountain (I think), it is basic and contains rows of tables that are very close together but... More

What a great find La Baracca is! We had a fairly large group of 12 and were amazed how the food was so well prepared and served hot. The band playing was top-tier also and made the warm inviting atmosphere even better.

When chaos is fun, it is la baracca. Communal tables, benches, menu written with chalk on the walls, excellent comfort food. You will make friends with your neighbors , come with your own friends. The later, the better. The music gets louder and louder. We were skeptical when we entered this hut/trailer, the ambience got us. This is different from... More

Upon arrival you will not be happy. Very cramped and looks like a trailer with no menus and chalkboards with your options. You can hardly move and will feel claustrophobic. However, as the night goes on, the food is delicious, the drinks kick in and the music picks up. Next thing you know people (and hopefully you) are dancing on... More

I find it strange that there was no menu. It was all written on the walls and we don't understand the ingredients. I ate linguini pasta with vegetables. Vegetables was just pepper and onion it was very bad. Untasteful. There don't accept credit cards only money. After several hours dj played very good music and we dance A lot.

Cash only, but totally worth it, cool atmosphere and cozy. Doesn't look like much on the outside, but amazing food and fun. As it gets later people started to smoke, which was a que for us to leave, but as far as a great place to eat, it is a must.

Looks like crap but one of the coolest atmospheres and reliable but narrow menus in town ... This place is known for its tight rowed seating, wild crowd, prolific alcohol consumption... and best of all, the proprietor's ( Max) playlist.. which cranks it out loud after about 9:30-10:00. Every trip to Saint Moritz involves at least one dinner here!

My family and I went to a party at La Baracca. The restaurant isn't the prettiest to look at but it has a cosy feel once you get inside. The service was friendly, the food was decent but the wine was pretty average - maybe we chose poorly. Once the music started, we danced into the early hours. Great fun.... More
