Don't expect much more than what you see, that'sonly a small japanese joint close to the university: but in that category the "Samurai" does very well. I stopped there for lunch and chose one of their set menus that include miso and coffee. The meal was very decent, if not stellar, and the service efficient, although a bit rushed. relatively... Really pretty bad - shame because it's my local Japanese. I ordered the chicken teriyaki and it was just fried chicken covered in soy sauce. Service was fine, hence the extra star.

We went here the other night as all our usual japanese restaurants were closed for christmas holidays. Le Samourai is a bistrot type place without fuss. They specialised mainly in Sushi but do have a small menu. We took Bentos at frs 45 per head, largely enough as there is a misto soup first and a bowl of steamed rice... More

If you want a decent Japanese restaurant, this one is certainly OK. It has a nice selection of dishes, including sushi. When we were there it was very quiet (for a long time we were the only ones) which in my opinion makes it a bit less nice. Prices of course are Swiss and the food is definitely not cheap.... More

After investigating many places near the University, we tried this one and it was clearly the best in the vicinity. Somewhat higher prices than in the US, but lower than Japan. Good decor and everything well prepared.
