The weather forecast was doubtful but the weather was not. It was a lovely sunny day and we were hungry and desperate for something other than the ever present italian cuisine of Thun. We had a lovely ham sandwich (hot) and a cheese sandwich (cold)...and a couple of beers. It was perfect. Good service and location. Very friendly staff. Great place to people watch. We were drawn to this cozy little cafe with the locals lunching on tightly packed outdoor tables with blankets thrown over the chairs on a gorgeous sunny, but crisp autumn afternoon on our arrival in the beautiful town of Thun. We were also enticed by...their winter menu of delicious pulled, normal, and black oat burgers displayed on their board, as well as their homemade gluwein. With the sun beating down on us and very prompt service, we were quickly and pleasantly warmed up with a most welcoming glass of gluwein and a wholesome cheeseburger served with thin fries, and a delicious mountain of fresh iceberg lettuce with crisp bacon bits, cheese and avo (the Chillounge salad). The winter menu special included a dessert of coffee ice-cream, which we declined, since we're not dessert fans. The desserts, I must add though, look to be of world-class pattiserie perfection! The inside restaurant looks just as cozy and certainly seems a very popular choice for their burgers and salads. Other choices on the menu include local favorites like raclette, homemade soups, macaroni, as well as a selection of nachos. There is an extensive bar menu, presumably the reason for the name of the restaurant. Loved the alfresco atmosphere, and I would imagine it to be just as cozy at night especially illuminated with the town's pretty lights at night.More

Located in the town's centre, Chillounge is cozy and offers a variety of burgers, hamburgers, salads, sandwiches and Thuner beers. We had beer with nachos and wonderful tasty barley soup. We sat outside although the weather was chilly...however blankets are offered..really nice place.

This cafe-bar is nicely located by the river in Thun. Perfect setting for going out with friends and family.

In the center of town, good beer and good service. We had french fries and chicken wings and they were quite tasty.

Loved the drinks here. We had the refreshing Hugo suss and cocktails which were perfect during the summer weather. Their Swiss burger was delicious and satisfying. The staff are efficient and helpful.

We took the train to Thun and were just walking around and decided to stop here. We ate outside as the weather was good and they have a large area. Our waitress was very prompt and polite. She also took her time to recommend and...explain some of the local beers, as well as their mixed drinks. They were very good. We started with nachos which were great. Again we had some questions about the menu and waitress was very good about explaining things. I had the ham and cheese sandwich which was one of the best I ever had. One in our group had the meat kebab and the meat was cooked perfect and delicious. Another in our party had the sausage kebab. It was very good as well and had 3 different types of sausage. Note, spicy sausage is very hot. Last in our group had simple chicken nuggets and fries. They offer large order of fries and small. Large order is enough for 4 people. Small order would feed 2. Overall just a great visit. I was going to give a rating of 4 but the food was great and the service as well, so I think they earned a 5.More

Great place for drinks and/or amazing salads and American food. Located on the river with friendly fast service. Loved by both locals and passing tourists. Most seating is outside under large umbrellas, and cozy blankets are provided for chilly evenings. Everything on the menu is...really good. The burgers and Ceaser salad with chicken is my favourite!More

We have been to this pub for a mid afternoon snack. Very fast and polite service, the chillounge nachos were delivered 10 minutes together with our aperol spritz and they were very good!

best fries in town, slades and burgers and so on., the place in the hearth of nightlife in Thun. Staff are nice, friendly and fast. Wine too expensive, other prices about ok.

Cold rainy day, but wanted a quick lunch with friends. Had a wonderful cheeseburger and french fries and a coffee after. Not overly expensive and the quality and quantity was good! Service was fast and friendly!
